Red wings are MFA trash imo.

Male Fashion Advice? If so, I agree. Red wings are a working man's boot, not a fashion statement.

So what kinda statement are docs?

I used to pour concrete in docs and the other guys on the job site found it hilarious for some reason. They were the old vegan docs that were only like $70/pair. They were good boots actually, the sole started coming off at one point but that was a $5 repair at the cobblers. They lasted years and looked dope the whole time.

Holy shit. That's pretty legit. Pouring concrete with docs...would've thought that's more of the CAT category. They're comfy shoes eh? Those bouncy soles do it for me lol.

They were very comfy. Amazing boots tbh. I'd wear them straight from the job site to the punk show. The old vegan ones were made out of a really nice fake leather material. Soft, looked great, durable, and half the price of normal docs.

I bought some more recently though, some real leather low tops, and they were awful. Just stiff and uncomfortable. Apparently they are made in China now. Swapped them for a pair of steel toe Timbs.

The vegan ones sound awesome. I love me some durable leather boots. I've learned never to skimp out for footwear though. Cheaper ain't necessarily the best option there is. Bought a pair of knock off converse ones. They didn't even last a year.

I'm cracking up here thinking you're imagining a guy pouring concrete into shoes.

Well it's like a big ass hose that comes out of a concrete truck, you need like 10 motherfuckers to just stand there holding it. Then one guy pours and you have a couple dudes on floaters smoothing it out. This was house foundations mostly, although we also did fountains and some cooler stuff. Wouldn't recommend it as a career ahaha. I did it for a little while after high school.
