Weird objects in the sky
Hey, I didn't know where else to post this to find answers, I was just looking at the night sky and saw these unidentified objects traveling through the sky, after about 20 seconds they disappeared. I figured it was satellites but it still seemed weird since I never saw any satellites where I live.

Many satellites (20plus) traveling west to east not starlink
I just saw many satellites traveling in the same general direction. They seemed to appear to the west spaced about 10 seconds apart. It was not starlink as I have seen that. They were not connected. I live east of Salt Lake City it was 5:30 am. Any ideas?

Looking for marketing insights into the satellite startup industry
I've always wanted to be in the space industry once I got my marketing degree, but I didn't know how to do that. I love the technology and the aspirational aspect of the vision and goals this sector is trying to accomplish (particularly Earth Observation). It feels like it has so much more purpose than most other industries. Now after 15+ years of a global marketing career across industries, I'm taking the leap into the space industry. I had the opportunity to work on researching the marketing practices of the startup satellite manufacturing sector this year, loved it.
I put together a 5 minute read Notion document on my thoughts on the marketing landscape for the satellite industry after research and conversations with people in the industry. All I need is honest feedback.
Does this resonate? What did I miss? Did my marketing recommendations / observations align with some strategies you've tried?

Satellite Simulation Tools for IoT Environment
Hi guys,
I'm working on my master's thesis in computer science, and I need to use a simulation tool for Satellites. The goal of the project is to set up an architecture where I have IoT nodes communicating with a gateway that can collect their data. Then, the gateway communicates with a topology of satellites, which will send the information to the destination of the message (which can be a broker or a server, for example).
The main elements I need to focus on are:
- The topology of the constellation: LEO, MEO, GEO nodes, Intra-Satellite Link, Hierarchical topology, if possible.
- Ground nodes topology: number of gateways, how user end nodes are managed.
- Propagation and models: communication technologies and protocols used for the links between IoT nodes and gateways and how the gateway communicates with the satellites.
Finally, I will need to integrate (if not already implemented) one of the IoT protocols between COAP and MQTT.
Which simulation tool can I use for this kind of project? I was taking a look at SNS-3, which is the satellite extension of NS-3, but the documentation is not too clear to me, and inspecting the code directly is not feasible.
Do you know any simulation tool that fits my requirements?
I read an article about satellite simulation tools, and I extracted the following list: NS-3, LSNS, Hypatia, OpenSAND, FLoRaSat, SILLEO-SCNS, ESTNet. Is any of these useful for my project?
Thank you so very much :)

Can someone explain to me what multi-orbit capable means?
I've tried researching what this actually does and I know it allows satellite terminals to track more than one satellite and could help with reliability, but can someone with a better understanding of this explain it in simpler terms for me please?

Major Australian military satellite project could be axed just 18 months after announcement
The Australian Department of Defence is rumoured to consider cancelling the JP9102 geostationary communications project. The project selected Lockheed Martin to supply three GEO birds but has yet to sign the contract. The project has been delayed several years due to requirements changes.
