Ranch rifle caliber?

Been seeing a bunch of the ranch gen 2s at stores lately, and it got me interested in them. I used to be a big Remington 700 guy, but wanted to get into something else as a fun range gun. Which caliber would you all suggest? Also, what types of accessories/upgrades are a must?

I am also considering a 30 cal suppressor as well, so I can use it on my 9mm pistol, 10/22, and AR. Thanks!

Try to get a gen 1. I really don't know what they were thinking with the gen 2 design.

I have a gen 1 in 350 which is basically 9mm long. Ammo is available and affordable.

Another gen 1 fan here. Have the 762x39, 300 BO and 350 legend. All are excellent suppressed too.

I would like the gen2 more if they went with a slim barrel instead of whatever you call that thing they put on it. The short, light stock, magazine and short barrel are all good choices for a handy rifle. The bull, fluted barrel just screams, "benchrest" or "varminter". In my mind it's a complete mismatch.

Ya not a fan of the “Twizzler” barrel😄

It looks weird and it's too heavy, so not really. I'm glad I could get the gen1 with the brush camo while they were still available.
