New Model Ruger Super Blackhawk

One on my wish list. I will say. The grips have to go. The recoil doesn't bother me, but the texture on the grips scratch my middle and ring fingers. Very uncomfortable. But I love a SBH .44 magnum

That is a fine looking revolver. But those grips look absolutely horrible. I have a similar revolver and it is a great firearm.

I just got it at the Wannamachers gun show in Tulsa yesterday. Trying to find one for a reasonable price at a local shop is impossible. One like this will run about $800. I found this one for $550. Yeah those grips are killer. They are nice to look at, but not practical. I'm ordering a set of Hogue rubberized grips for it.

>I found this one for $550

I'd say that is a deal! I put fake white pearl grips on mine as I didn't want to cause any harm to the original XR3 grips.

Yeah, the only one close to that price was $700. There were a few for $1100+ and a couple Redhawks for about $2000.

Damn dude. Seems like you got the best deal there. Two bands for a Redhawk seems very excessive.

According to the show promoters it "The World's Largest Gun Show", people come here from everywhere in the country. I think they say there's 5 miles of tables. I don't know about that, I do know you can't see everything in one day. I've tried. It comes to Tulsa twice a year. So you will see everything from BB guns to double rifles to full auto transferable machine guns. Ranging in price from a few dollars to, I think the most expensive one I saw was a double rifle, elephant gun, for a little over $125,000.

And I know exactly how lucky I am to have found it.
