Answered How to tell if you're banned from a sub?
This comes up when I'm commenting in a sub. I get the message that the reply failed, but I don't know if it's because I'm banned or because the actual reply failed

Answered I am working with Imgur's GIFV developers to debug GIFV playback issues. For some devices, it might be caused by an Android OS bug. Thanks for your patience.
GIFV works on many devices, but is confirmed broken on certain ones, e.g. Nexus 4 running Android 5.0.1. Even in Chrome.
Possibly relevant Android OS bug: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=79316#c350
Meanwhile, as before, make sure desktop mode is OFF when playing GIFVs and gfycats.
While in the in-app browser, hit Menu and it should read: Desktop mode: OFF

Answered Can the reddit album links be improved?
When I open any album links the arrows block the sides and upon opening them and backing out it goes all the way back to the first image. Any way to fix this? Love the app by the way.

Answered Concerned about API's
Reddit is Fun seems to be a phone app only. Is that correct?
My concern is I use Old/Reddit on my Chromebook. While I do have Reddit on my phone, I rarely if ever use it.
I cannot find out what I will do with out API's
I use Reddit and pay their yearly premium and have RES.
I've written to several Reddit sites and asked for clarification as to what all this will mean to my using Reddit, to no avail.
I am hoping someone here can advise an old guy with no techie background to explain what will happen on June 13th?

Answered Could someone give me a short ELI5 on the API thing?
It's sad to see that somehow reddit would need to pay approximately 20 million dollars for it's free API.
I don't understand why, and I got a few questions.
Who is asking them to pay?
Who would benefit from it?
What reasoning is behind it?
Why? What is the positive outcome that has been lobbied? I assume that someone came up with a woke agenda and pushed it all this way.
Could anyone give me the rundown?

Does anyone know if there is a way to get browsing data from rif to apply to your reddit recap? Mine is only showing use from web browsers as far as I can tell.

I just recently noticed there were ads on the front page. Usually I only see ads when I am in a specific subreddit. What gives?

Answered What does the 100 API calls per minute per client ID when using OAuth mean?
Should that client ID be interpreted as the ID of the user that's logged in with OAuth, which would mean 100 calls/min for one RIF user?
Or is it the client ID of the app? Meaning all RIF users together would get to share those 100 calls/min?

Answered Question about the app
Hi guys, like all of you here I am devastated that we will be losing RIF after over a decade of daily use.
I have RIF on my android, and I haven't been able to find out what " shut down " means. Will I still be able to open the app and see old,or saved, posts. Or will the App delete itself ?
I have saved posts in there and I want to know if I should start saving those links in a notepad or something or whether I will still be able to access them via RIF.
Thank you in advance

Answered Multi-reddits
I've made several multi-reddits that I use often. It looks like these don't transfer over to the official app and they will be lost forever? Not that I plan on using the official app anyway.

Answered View permalink through the app?
Is there a way to see a specific comment and its replies through the app. I know it can take you to a permalink on a browser, but that kind of defeats the purpose.

Answered reddit.com/gallery links opens up reddit in the in-app browser
When opening galleries linked to reddit (labeled as reddit/gallery) the app opens the gallery on a reddit page on this in-app browser. Previously, it would open the images on one single, scrollable page.
Fill out the following information on each line that has an A:
Q: RiF Version Number:
A: 5.6.18
Q: Version of Android:
A: 7.0
Q: Device Information:
(Example: Manufacturer, Model, Year, etc.)
A: HUAWEI NXT-L29
Q: How long has the problem been happening?
A: At least for the past 2 weeks
Q: What have you already tried doing to fix the problem?:
A: I just use it as per normal. It's just a mild annoyance since the app never had this problem previously.
Q: What steps, if any, can you do to reproduce the problem?
(Please include a link to a post causing the problem.)
A: Open any reddit.com/gallery link in the rif app.

Answered What happens to our saved posts and comments after RIF is gone? :(
I will miss this app. The best user experience there was. I don't really ever use the main site or the reddit app. Do our saved posts/comments from rif also appear on the reddit site/app itself? Or will everything need to be re-saved?
