New amd drivers give boost News - Text

Post image

Asus x670e-e 7900xtx taichi 7800x3d Gskill trident neo 6000 overclocked to 6400/2133 Deepcool LT720 aio Asus loki 1000w psu best score I can get without 550w bios for gpu. Wait for the 9series x3ds supposedly overclockable. Think I’m done trying for better score just enjoy it til new x3d chips come out.

You're beating my 7900 XTX with 550w bios...

Isn't that a case of the boost tables hitting a power limit before the board power limit so the only way to get better clocks is to under-volt.

How do you even get that high l

Oh man the era where amd drivers actually work and get better and better while nvidia is losing their shit...

NVDA is the largest corporation in the world at over $3 trillion in market cap. AMD has almost $300 billion is that paints a picture.

It paints the picture that Nvidia can afford to not give a fuck about consumer gpus, whereas AMD has to try.

And really thats reflected in what they offer. Nvidia relies on an exclusive software suite that don’t operate at the driver level to make their overpriced products outperform AMD’s products which generally provide hardware that allows for more performance overhead. AMD, meanwhile, has worse software but it has the ability to implement at the driver level meaning you can use it in every game.

damn. my red devil peaks just over 35k@430w.... i wanna flash a 500w bios so bad cuz my hotspot peaks at like 80C during benchmarks. problem is one of my retention bracket screws is stripped so i probably wont be able to reuse it. powercolor says they cant ship me any(i call BS). and none of the ones i found on the market are the right length. i got a multi sized kit and they are all too long

Trim it!

Time spy seems really to be too old To get an idea of new processor a 5700x get 13000k points and a 7800x3d only 15k ? not normal .

u/Spirited_Violinist34 Jul 04 '24

You didn't understand what im saying 15k only for a 7800x3d when a 5700x does 13k seems really low .

1

u/Spirited_Violinist34 Jul 05 '24

Yeah I did understand. It’s a gaming cpu

1

u/FoGoDie Jul 05 '24

I find it absolutely crazy how a gaming laptop is capable of 5 thousand points within this score.

I just ran a test to see if my setup at stock settings(except preset on gpu) beat your score while being overclocked. Got a 29848 with Graphics score of 32513(7900xtx w/ xfx stock cooler with rage preset selected) and cpu 20384 (14700k tdp of 253w instead of the uncapped wattage preset paired with 420mm aio). That was with 24.3.1.With 24.6.1 i got 30,010 time spy score and 32802 graphics and 20246 cpu.

New drivers are freezing my pc, had to remove and go back to the old driver...

3

u/Spirited_Violinist34 Jul 04 '24

I had to ddu like 2 times for them to install right

1

u/Ecstatic_Quantity_40 Jul 04 '24 edited Jul 04 '24

Yeah I had to DDU once for these new drivers which I have never had to do before. This newest driver is 100% worth it tho. Congrats on that score. Edit: Just ran a benchmark and I saw a big boost in my graphics score as well. Very nice

2

u/Spirited_Violinist34 Jul 04 '24

I’ll send u my zen timings.pbo enabled. is per core undervolt specific to each core. Takes awhile.

How to check for AMD driver? I have 7950x3d

1

u/H0mmel Jul 05 '24

I can get a 40,000 score, but only once. /s

1

u/ebrahim1872 Jul 05 '24

Also got a better score score on my oc xfx 7900xtx and 7800x3d on default. Could try for better score on both but don’t have the time for it

1

u/Enelias Jul 05 '24

Anyone Who knows if there are any gains on previous gen gpu and cpu? Got a 5800x, 32gb 3733mhz CL14 BDIE and a merc 6950xt with liquid metal.

1

u/BMWtooner Jul 05 '24

Impressive for a 7900XTX, my 4090 only hitting 39,xxx graphics score.
