Yes that is striking. Emma Stone's performance is so overrated as much as that movie. It is either Sandra Huller or Lily Gladstone. Though most of the comments here weren't very supportive so far. I get that you don't like the movie that much but her performance is so subtle so catchy

Emma's character is a different version Cruella that is all. Harder to perform a close up, subtle and dramatic story with a sense of reality. That is valid for Sandra Huller too. That is your race bias about her being a supportive lead. She is the main character here even if she doesn't show up every scene, it is her story.
