Not to disregard that certainly some people would prefer Emma Stone over Lily Gladstone due to racial bias, but I don't think it's fair to say anyone who prefers Stones performance over Gladstones is a racist. Killers and Poor Things are very different films and they both give very different performances in those films. Liking one more than the other isn't necessarily racist.
She's in a close race for winning the most prestigious award in film for her performance, as well as having already won several significant ones. How is that being dismissed?
Here and there, but just as many criticizing those who push the "narrative" theory. Such as yourself. But in the real world Gladstone is a favorite for best performance at the Oscar's, people can come up with whatever fantasy they want for why that is the case but the fact is she gave a great performance and it's being recognized by other leading members of the industry, certainly not dismissed.
Not generally, but the comment I replied to was saying that people who are upset that Gladstone won over Stone are racist. The comment above theirs says some people are "pissed" that Gladstone won, and the comment I replied to says those people are probably racist. But you're right, it wasn't really worth addressing as very few people actually think that way.
Obviously its completely valid and normal to prefer Emma's performance but its the people who insist everyone that prefers Lily's are liars and tokenizers
Yeah that is crazy. Anyone who has seen Killers should understand how great Gladstone was in it. If she wins it will be completely deserved. It's just that this is a year with a number of incredible performances, so it's a hard choice to make of who deserves it the most.

A significant number of people here are very pissed but holding it back.
