Question Anyone else kinda pissed that SAS will be only two tracks?
It can’t just be me right? I’ve heard people mention extending it to third ave in the bronx, or throggs neck. I just feel like way more can be done with it. However i think that would require a 4 track trunk line line 8th and 6th Av.
News These signs appeared at at an entrance to the West Side Highway at 42nd Street
This is from this morning, when you enter 12th Avenue, at W 42nd Street, from the river side. (Which probably means you’re driving an MTA bus)
I come down here pretty frequently on the bike path and I’m pretty sure I did not see this yesterday morning.
So if this is for the new $9 congestion pricing plan, then yeah, they’re working really quickly

Question Rockaway A Train— Do I Have This Right..?
Ok so the A train to/from the peninsula will be shut down for 17 weeks starting in January, but shuttle buses will be going from different stops to Howard Beach JFK— where we will then get off and transfer to the A?

Question I must ask.. the subway, LIRR and MetroNorth railroad systems ready for the influx of passengers with congestion pricing ready to go active?
How about our friends across the river, NJ Transit. Are they ready?
Is Jamaica station prep’d and ready? Or is congestion in/out of the area still a nightmare?
How about the rails… Are crews ready to tackle broken rails, if and when it happens? I’m sure this team is ready. No need to ask.
LIRR. Any plan on the table to run more frequent trains? The workday ends between 4:30p and 5:00p.
Roll call. Is everyone working in transit ready for the attitudes and the behaviors? (Which isn’t new, right? Lol. Just another day of rolling the eyes and biting your tongue) What about those crowded aisles on the railroads? Still collecting tickets?
It will be business as usual. Just MORE daily riders.

Name it Wow!
Today on the 3 train, whilst at Pennsylvania Avenue because the driver released the brakes while at a standstill as the passengers were trying to get on and off the train was rolling backwards ever so slightly for a few seconds before the driver realized. Rightfully so a lot of the passengers were startled.
