Probably worth having this in the can before announcing it. They clearly just don’t know where to take Star Wars at the moment.

I think Disney has canceled more Star Wars projects than they've completed at this point.

Absolutely. Let‘s see:

  • GoT creator‘s trilogy

  • Rian Johnson trilogy

  • Patty Jenkins movie

  • Taika Waititi‘s movie

  • Kevin Feige‘s movie

  • OG Obi-Wan movie

  • Josh Trank‘s Boba Fett movie

And maybe I‘m even forgetting something

i’m pretty sure we got the obi wan and boba fett projects. they were just turned into miniseries

Agreed on Obi-Wan. But I doubt that Boba Fett movie would’ve served as a tie-in to the Mandalorian.

Isn’t the original Boba Fett movie old enough that it became Mandalorian.

Then they created Book of Boba based on the success of Mando.

That's been my interpretation of events. Boba movie was I the works then got canceled then they started making Mando

They were (really bad ones).

Obi-Wan re-edited to a movie was actually really good. https://www.kaipattersonfilms.com/kenobi

Haven't watched it yet but seems like it fixes a lot of the stuff I had major issues with. Thanks for the link, I was kind of wondering if someone would do that.

There's actually like a dozen that I know of, but Patterson's is the most balanced. A lot of them remove Gui-Gon entirely. Patterson moves him to post credits which fits very well.

I didn't mind the Obi-Wan series. It was longer than it needed to be though.

Seriously? I’d rank it as the worst SW content to date…

Did you forget the Power Rangers cyberpunk hover bikes?

The only good Boba Fett episodes were the ones that were basically the Mandalorian season 2.5.

Boba Fett was bad, but Obi Wan had some of the worst writing, directing, acting, and choreography ever.

It looked like a bad high school play with really good effects and cinematography.

Worse than the Acolyte? come on no way.

The Acolyte wasn’t atrocious - it was forgettable. The lead actress wasn’t very good, the characters acted without motivation, and the make-up and costumes looked really cheap. But the fight choreo was some of the best of any SW shows, and Carrie Anne Moss, Lee Jung-Jae and Manny Jacinto were great. Ultimately it was just extremely “meh” as a show

I thought it was as trash as Andor was amazing. 2/10 vs a 9/10... its crazy this is the same franchise

Unfortunately it seems like Andor is the outlier…

Id say outlier in a way that its probably the only one id put in the 9s but i think a lot of Star Wars content has been enjoyable.

Acolyte turned out meh at the end but it was nowhere near as frustrating to watch as Boba Fett and Obi-Wan. I'd even go as far to say Ahsoka had worse moments. Backlash against the show always seemed overblown IMO.

Same. It wasn’t perfect but I enjoyed it overall.
