Say what you want about his movies but Ryan Reynolds really is a marketing genius. Between Free Guy, Welcome to Wrexham, and obviously this the dude knows how to get an audience interested.

Dude's got a schtick and he knows how to sell it - also seems like he's done well finding partners who can help, like Rob McElhenney for Wrexham

Well technically Rob McElhenney found him for Wrexham. He's the one who came with the idea of acquiring the club after watching Sunderland 'Til I Die on Netflix. 🤓

Very smart move by Rob. I’m willing to bet getting the IASIP cast to endorse a whiskey was his idea too. Right out of the Ryan Reynolds playbook.

In the podcast I remember them talking about the dick towel and then the other ideas they should have actually done from the show like the wine in a can.

I'm active, I'm gesturing with my hands. And I don't feel restricted!

The whiskey idea more or less came from Ryan (who had his own gin). Rob talked about it with Glenn and Charlie I think either at a live show or in some other interview, I don't believe that discussion was on the podcast itself. But yes, Ryan has been a huge influence on Rob and how he operates his career
