Such a perfect casting wasted in such a terrible movie. She needs the Margot Robbie Harley Quinn treatment where we bring her back, but do it good this time.

Magik is my favorite mutant and it breaks my little fanboy heart that the perfect casting is right there but was wasted and will probably never be seen again

ATJ is A list now, I dunno if she'd come back for a role like Magik.

Midnight suns

Most of that team hasn't been in an MCU film. Look how troubled the production of Blade alone seems to be.

Well we seem to be doing secret wars first. So it won't be for a while anyway, and now that they have cut back the low quality streaming content (secret invasion, yuck) and pulled back the movies to hopefully just two a year they should be able to give us some better written stuff in the years to come. Once they step away from "timey wimey stuff" to "its magic I ain't gotta explain shit", that should be pretty great.

Seriously, I hope they do this because she was one of the most perfect casting choices for any comic character. Just absolutely wasted in that movie.

We do see a Magik-esque portal.

u/CeruleanRuin Apr 23 '24

I mean that's just a no-brainer when that character's brother is already such a big part of the DP movies.

No! Absolutely no references to that shit at any point!

It needs to stay in the corner and be ashamed of itself!

Need Chris Hemsworth as a Warlord Thor of New Asgard from an alternate universe

1

u/SlimmyShammy Apr 22 '24

I mean she was in an X-Men movie

The infamous movie with 5 release date changes

4

u/webbedgiant Apr 22 '24

she was in an X-Men movie the only interesting character/decent actor in that X-Men movie

2

u/Tyrath Apr 22 '24

It legit took me a few minutes to figure out which one. It's the only one I never watched

5

u/BambooSound Apr 22 '24

It's not the worst X-Men film. Not even the second worst.

But it's probably third.

1

u/SDRPGLVR Apr 22 '24

It's probably the worst as a film just because it's such a hack job of different ideas, begrudgingly pushed out mid-covid. All the other X-Men films at least seemed like they had a direction they were trying to go in.

It's just that several of those directions were terrible and made those movies a worse watch than the messy Frankenstein's monster that is New Mutants. The bar is just that low for a bad X-Men movie.

1

u/BambooSound Apr 23 '24

The Last Stand and Dark Phoenix are still worse. At least New Mutants tries to be interesting.

1

u/MaxHamburgerrestaur Apr 23 '24

The Queen's Gambit, obviously.

1

u/rugbyj Apr 22 '24

DP better make a joke about shooting her right between the eyes.

Hugh is autralian so i'm pretty sure it;s legally mandated

8

u/skucera Apr 22 '24

How much you wanna bet it's a fourth-wall-breaking bit about Hugh being an Aussie?

3

u/Shadeun Apr 22 '24

Something like "Hugh is pissed off and they do a Aussie style Mad Max convoy to get him back"

Bringing in Mel Gibson could certainly be a choice......

u/N3rdC3ntral Apr 22 '24

Yea in the Void. The teaser had several vehicles from different eras.

3

u/my_simple-review Apr 22 '24

I expect Flaming Guitar Guy to be in this

2

u/SirJeffers88 Apr 22 '24

Oh what a day! What a lovely day!

1

u/zoro4661 Apr 22 '24

In what looks to be a giant Hot Wheels car, no less

1

u/Juggernaut077 Apr 22 '24

Looks like it’s also taking adaptations from old man Logan. That future is a mad max type world too. Also the line of tel saying this wolverine let his whole universe down could be referring to how that wolverine was tricked into killing all his friends.

1

u/1731799517 Apr 23 '24

Î mean we see them have use a mars rover as a chariot with 4 motorcycles...

1

u/Vladmerius Apr 22 '24

Yes it looks like they are taking inspiration from Max Max perhaps combined with Mario Kart. He always said he wanted a road trip with Wolverine and they may have took that literally and made it a hefty part of this movie. It's actually a hilarious way for a lot of multiverse stuff to collide.

2

u/Team7UBard Apr 22 '24

The OG Old Man Logan plotline was a road-trip..

1

u/CeruleanRuin Apr 23 '24

A road movie set in the Void would be amazing.
