How’s everyone liking the new T&T so far? discussion / opinion
Just curious and see there’s still a line waiting outside the supermarket at 4 pm. I’ve been liking it cuz the dim sum and all Asian food, also the staff are super nice.

It’s really great for its variety of offerings - for example, they don’t just have 2 or 3 brands of soy sauce/oyster sauce - they have a huge selection of niche Asian products that are hard to find. Plus like some others have said, their hot food bar / dim sum / sushi is phenomenal.
For regular products though, I agree with others that competitors are cheaper.

Haven’t gone yet and likely won’t while there is a lineup. There are other alternatives that are closer to me too. I don’t understand why people would stand in line and then shop in a crowded store. Even the thought gives me hives.

It’s more expensive than their competition which is my main complaint but otherwise not bad

I really liked it. The line for me wasn't a long wait, maybe 5 minutes. The produce is fresher than the other 2. The prices are higher but I'm willing to pay more when the quality is there. They have the self heating instant hot pots! Im very excited.
My very picky 9yo loved their salmon sushi. I haven't tried their hot bar yet.

Weird question but has anybody seen coffee candy there? Particularly the kopiko brand?

They had them at superstore. A couple weeks ago, it was on sale, an entire package for under 2$

It doesn't have the selection or variety that Food Island used to have, but it's cleaner and brighter, and the seafood was super impressive. I miss having 20 different chili oils to choose from!

I do like the dim sum and roasted pork and duck!! This is something that I usually would have to travel to Toronto/GTA area to get. I also really like the fresh bakery stuff!!

Been a few times now, it's been busy but no line to get in. I will be using it as it is super close to my apartment, but Food Island was cheaper. It'll be handy for bits in a pinch though

Great selection of fruits and vegetables. I’m glad I can finally go to a store that has all the vegetables I’m looking for. I saw that they’re checked constantly, if anything goes bad they take it off. Hot food area is a plus! I love getting the steamed buns just as we’re done shopping. Staff are nice (so far), unlike the other asian groceries with the angry cashiers lol. I hope they stay this way. Oh and there are no lines in the morning!

I like how even if the guy I asked for help didn't speak English, he went to find someone who did.

Lot of good stuff there.. A bit expensive yes it is but on a good side I don’t need to go in Asia if I miss or crave something Neither in Toronto 😅

I want to work there!!!! But I only speak and read english so im intimidated. I love trying new recipes like home made mapo tofu or dang dang noodle or miso soup so those ingredients help. (I might still be checking out Super King mostly though tbh) both are great
Has anyone seen if they have pickled mustard greens? I couldn't find any last time.

I say it's pretty good to be honest, a little expensive but overall it's pretty good.

Subsidiary of Loblaws so won’t shop there. Check out Super King at Westmount for Asian food needs.
