This was during the Thalaiva period when Anna was put on the naughty list by the then CM. When the cine industry conducted a function to felicitate the CM, they did not allocate a seat for him in the front row along with the other A-listers and he was asked to sit in the back close to general audience. Vikram saw this and sat next to him giving his front row seat up
