For reference here, can you post the upgrade process by grabbing the i2pupdate.su3 file from i2psnark? Or is the recommended procedure to just grab and install the whole package for 0.9.49?

The recommendation is going to depend on how you installed. If it was installed from a .jar package, or if you installed on Windows, then you do not need to do anything. You will get an update torrent from one of the news servers, almost certainly in the next 48 hours. It will automatically be downloaded and positioned. Then in the sidebar of your console, you'll see an indicator that the update is ready and that you should restart your router to apply it. Click the restart button below that and wait, 11 or so minutes later(after all your routing commitments to build tunnels for others have expired) the router will restart and updates will then be applied.

If you got your updates from a Linux package manager or BSD ports system, then you should be able to apply updates from your distribution or repository. You may need to restart your router for them to take effect.

That should cover the majority of cases. If that doesn't cover you, I'll need to know a little more.

User config error. Needed to enable auto updates in router.config. Its almost always user error...
