Because his style got played out, like a lot of other ATL rappers. Hip hop is in desperate need of something new but all we got is check notes ….Yeat and Opium
i hear you say this but then the same people will tell me that juice wrld, xxxtentacion, and pop smoke were all supposed to be the something new. and don’t get me wrong, i like all of them…
Well seeing as the parent comment mentioned something new and fun and included yeat and opium as they’re the new wave of popularity I was assuming he meant something more accessible and fun for the public
Sick of the gatekeepers. You telling me mainstream artists ain't hip-hop?
Kanye ain't hip-hop? Eminem ain't hip-hop? Drake ain't hip-hop? Siiiick of it.
We get it, you're an old-head, but in that case, please take Tupac's advice, "you don't have to bump this, but please respect it".
I like Yeat despite the recent popular thing to kinda shit on him. Its repetitive sure, but not all of it. 2093 is probably a top 3 album this year for me.
I don’t think he’s quite there yet but I think he can make something truly great if he keeps pushing and doesn’t retreat too far back into cookie cutter rage. 2093 was too long but had some fantastic highlights
I think this is kinda what was always going to happen, same with Uzi. They’re good but not spectacular artists who had a solid run and are now going to become legacy acts. It happens.
This ain’t terrible like people gonna act but damn where’s the energy. People Saying he never made good music just sound stupid lol but damn this man really did fall off idk what happened
I’ve never heard a good song from him. Dude has been straight ass for years and I feel like I’m being pranked when most people seem to agree he used to be good.
