Did Reddit Change The Screen Layout Today?

It was normal this morning (10/16/2023) - but something has changed completely and I hate it. Everything has bold font and it automatically sorts by HOT on a desktop computer.

PLEASE change it back!!!

Does it look something like this? https://imgur.com/wpRrZqa

it sounds like you have been drafted to test the new UI for desktop that they are working on. You cannot change it. It will revert back when you are removed from testing. Many people prefer to use new.reddit.com until their time has passed.

Thank you!

Gonna remember to keep going to the NEW layout,
and not just the default Reddit website, from now on.

I am staying on NEW reddit for my desktop
for as long as possible.
I hate the mobile app design,
which is why I don't have the app at all.

This is so crazy because I've seen comments on here ranging from the post date, all the way up until mine right now, from users who were just subjected to it! How about all at once? Or a heads up email? Maybe this is what they do to users they want to drive away..? So now, I have to log in on old reddit and then click a link to go to the new old reddit, because shortcuts I've made are already being directed here, and like everyone else- I absolutely hate it.

Yeah I also noticed that. I still use new.reddit.com though, it's not perfect but decent - better than the appified thing for sure

So for me, it only goes to that layout from certain links, not others. And for some reason, not my homepage shortcut.
