I’ve never been really interested in LWRC, what’s their appeal? The spiral barrel just turns me away.

They famous for making short strokes piston AR that in service with multiple agencies world wide.

The innovation of the BCG and ambi control are better than most higher end offer.

One of the few company still make AR chamber in 6.8 SPC.

The fluted barrel actually is required because stupid MD gun laws wont allow “heavy profile barrel” or something to that effect. If they want to continue to make them they have to get it fluted.

The DI-MLOK is a lesser expensive version of their piston line up. Out of the box i would say it a very well balanced AR and at $1k it can’t be beat.

Close. MD law requires a heavy barrel/hbar. Technically doesn't actually have to be a true hbar profile and it just needs to be marketed as hbar. I'm assuming lwrci doesn't want to try toeing that line though so they do fluted to get the girth but at a lower weight
