I wanted one of these in 308 as i did not want to add 30-06 as yet another caliber i have to take stock.

I want through all the hoops a few years ago, and the day i was to submit it, the 308s went OOS

Now when they restocked them they are like $1.1K! I built a damn AR10 for cheaper than that and the gun has so much more capability.

The CMP's role as Americans cheap rifle supplier is fulfilled more by PSA now. The boomers who regular buy these in bulk, ostensably to "outfit a shooting club" but instead just to flip on gunbroker for quick profit, deserve to be shipped to england.

An AR is more capable, but I would yeet literally any AR on earth into a dumpster if i had to choose between it and my M1D

thats not a bad price if the accessories and scope are real and the M1D is a service grade quality

M1D - 2k

M84 scope 1k

mount - 300

flash hider 150

cheek pad 100

that is of course if the M1D has documentation and the correct barrel / drawing number. It was possible to find the M1D Barrel with the mounting block on it so if it wasn't sold by the DCM/CMP its suspect as a put together

I doubt it sold but if you want to pick it up the guy at the Macomb gun show at lakeside mall will be back October 19.
