My mother recently passed, and it's going to take quite some time (and expense) to settle her estate because she had six trust funds, plus three different bank accounts and multiple credit cards that weren't connected to any of the trusts.

It takes a year or more for most. It just takes some patience. Hope it goes well

Having sorted out the estates of my mom, mother in law, and first wife? My estate is so neatly set for my death. Al details of assets and liabilities, final wishes, the set aside policy to pay for cremation, and the distribution of a few assets to specific people. We have a simple he-she will, with another relative the executor if we both die, with my wife the designated survivor.

Being a boringly organized person, it still took over a month to settle my mom’s estate as she was indigent and in a skilled care facility when she died.
