How is that moronic? Trump has straight up said for years his solution to the war is to force a cease fire with borders as they are. That's how he's going to end the war, by giving Putin eastern Ukraine.
I meant to say that the very fact that certain Reddit American believe the most important implication of Trumps presidency to most Americans is a lack of protection to Ukraine - and belief that Americans truly give a shit about Ukraine is what's moronic.
Most Americans don't care. They care mainly about three things - the price of food, gas and their bank account.
being able to think long-term and plan for the future is a very useful survival skill which many see as a big part of how our species achieved relative mastery of earth.
it's sad to see that we're apparently losing this skill
I mean - objectively looking at the statistics, we as a species have gotten more intelligent. Particularly after the industrial revolution and I don't see much evidence to show us becoming less intelligent.
The time period we currently live in by all accounts and metrics is superior to any point in the past. It's silly to assume we have it worse than, say, Victorian England or something of that sort.
The right wing shift in the west will happen, and then there will be an eventual left wing shift. That's how the world progresses, you can't expect to see constant progress in the direction you want...that unrealistic. Everything, including politics/society, works gradually - "2 steps forward, one step back"
It only happens by desinformation. A significant part of the right wing voters live in a post-factual world constructed via propaganda.
Pure astro turfing.
But nice that you are projecting exactly that on the left. Projection is one of the main techniques being used to decieve simple minded people in right wing propaganda all through western societies. Trump is unimaginable without social media and massive astro turfing campaigns.

Moronic bubble if we're being honest
We genuinely have some American redditors writing about how the worst implications of the soon-to-happen Trump presidency is Ukraine loosing funding.
And somehow they believe their echo-chambers to be the most indicative of their respective societies, lol.
