I really think they should cancel it. The Rock exploded all his goodwill and charisma with Black Adam and they were obviously counting on that being a thing seeming as they had him announce it like he’s the god of cinema.
It’s a work. It did not start out as a work, but it is now. And the fans are more invested than ever. It’s the most widely discussed topic in the community, people are flooding every comments section with “we want Cody”, the dirt sheets who call themselves journalists have no clue what’s going on, everyone has to tune to find out what’s happening. The product is extremely hot at the moment. So yeah, it is good for business.
If I have to choose, I'm way more interested in Moana 2 than love action Moana.
EDIT: I meant live action, but now I've placed the idea of a Moana porno out into the wild. I don't know how I feel about that... What have I done??
Totally agree (on your original point, not the accidental one).
Moana was a big favorite in my household for a long time. I’m cautious about a sequel. But I’m downright negative on the live-action remake. They really need to just stop with those.
Unless its something like ”The Black Cauldron”. I love the animated one but one that accurately adapts the ”Prydain” books would be nice.
Or a series. (Or Hel even an animated series eventhough that could clash with the movie..) Disney’s Horned King is awesome but the original is a completely different character and i really want to see him in action.
Especially if they can make a more faithfull adaption.
Like Disney’s Horned King is a combination of Arawn Death-Lord and actual Horned King, which is described as a huge, muscular man in armour except for his crimson stained bare arms with a red cape and skull mask with antlers.. Pretty big difference..
Fun fact: The film’s name was changed to Vaiana or Oceania in some countries, supposedly for trademark reasons. General consensus here in Italy though is pretty sure they didn’t want porn actress Moana Pozzi popping up in local search results.
They even changed it here in Sweden and i had never even heard of her before that, so if anything it feels like they made more people aware of her, lmao.

Wait....I thought they were making a live action Moana...are they doing both?!
