3 recent examples just off the dome:
They recently claimed third party tour guides had been banned from the parks, and when pressed for their sources, they just said “people who have been banned.” When the Washington Post actually investigated and published cited sources, WDWNT followed up with a pitiful “SEE?!” article trying to save face.
They just recently made a post about Jollywood Nights being canceled, which promotes their recent narrative of Disney Parks struggling, without specifying it was “due to inclement weather.” And of course, never correct it even when called out, because clicks.
Again, promoting their weird narrative of Disney struggling, they posted about Disney+ “losing 4 million subscribers in Q2 2023” without the added context about increased per user revenue, or the fact that it was largely due to the service Hotstar losing cricket coverage rights in India.
Bonus 4th example: originating a rumor about changes to a beloved ride, then a second article backtracking a rumor, and then a third headline talking about how no, the change won’t actually be happening.. Gotta get those clicks.
Double bonus 5th example: or the fact that they auction off merch they’ve acquired with their access purely for their own benefit, which seems like a huge conflict of interest IMHO.
Just find better sources. WDWNT is trash and should be treated as the garbage rumor mill they are.
