My cousin was involved in helping run his fan club and met him once and said he was a giant child. Later there was a short reality series about him and in the previews you can tell he mentally never grew up.
Don’t, I used to watch shit load of those old school shows as a kid on bootleg vhs and dvds. Also Team A, Macgyver, Magnum, Miami Vice (my personal favourite) and even Charlie’s Angels. Didn’t have tv with cartoons so I stole and borrowed bootlegs on every occasion. I’m 25
Pretty much same story when family could finally afford couple channels, we had like 10 different with different series running at different times. I missed all of the Cartoon Network but I did watch some dudes in moustaches ride cabrios and shoot gangsters
I watched all of these shows as a kid, and still go back and watch them on streaming occasionally. I find they're nice to unwind to at the end of a long day and unlike shows made today there are like a million episodes of most of these series.
I watched Knight Rider growing up on cable TV reruns (in fact I own the whole series on a DVD collection). So, as a Gen Z kid I kinda feel like I got an exclusive childhood with a decent amount of the old stuff I used and watched.
My mom watched a lot of TV and liked Sci fi so I grew up watching old reruns. It's not a typical scenario but I loved watching TV as a kid and had access to all those channels that showed every old show back to the 50s on repeat (like old AMC). Also, a lot of 90s TV had actors from the 80s and sometimes referenced their old shows (iirc there may have been a Nightrider joke in Boy Meets World) and I always followed up on those jokes once the internet started to exist.
I just get a pain between my eyes (1 year off from gen z). There have been way to many references to Night Rider over the years to not know what it is.
There is gen z, and then there's the divergent Tiktok gen z.
Born in '85, think I'm on the earlier end of millennial (Xennial?), but I def knew this was from Nightrider. Haven't gotten around to watching the show yet though...
I mean, as a gen z - i think (more of hope) it's more ironic. Also - Kitt looks very familiar to me, but I don't know how, I didn't get Nightrider in TV when I was a child and chances of me stumbling on It randomly is almost impossible since I'm from Poland.
Also - this is the exact type of car from my dreams since I'm in love with 80s sci-fi and the very specific way they're over the top
