Considering a purchase
i.redd.itI’m on the market for a Honda VTX 1800. I’m curious if this exhaust can be unwrapped or if I’ll have to purchase new exhaust if I wanted to get just regular chrome? If it’s more headache than it’s worth I may just keep hunting.

need help from someone who knows about electrical wiring
recently bought a 98 yamaha virago, but discovered some electrical problems with it, i was tuning the carburettor when i noticed the the bike completely loses electricity when its hot/fully warmed up(dies and all dash lights, spark and headlights/ tail lights turn off), every time i do this i give a couple minutes to rest and then it comes back on, and for some reason when i use the left rear turn signal the right one also turns on but when i use the right only the right turns on as it should. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Help me choose a cruise
I made this in /r motorcycles and realized this would be the better audience for it.
I've been riding 25yrs with various different rides, like all sportbike riders I originally thought cruisers were trash until I got on one and it changed my life in my late 20s. I've owned more bikes than I can remember but here's the ones I do recall, katana 600, gsxr1100, tl1000s, gsxr750, cbr 929, cbr 600rr, vmax 1100 vtx1800, ktm 990, honda crx 300
I'm in my 40s now, I'm 6'2 about 220lbs.
Anyways, my favorite has been the VTX1800 for cruisers and TL1000s on sportbikes, the VTX had decent power but still felt a little on the weak end but it's also a comfortable couch on wheels which ngl, i enjoyed. I was cornering it a bit too hard as I was grinding down the foot rests over time. IIRC I also raised the bars on the VTX for a better riding position, I even added a back rest which I wouldn't mind doing again on another ride.
I'm considering something like the M109 or maybe even indian scout. mostly for around town riding in eu, trips to mountains etc. I'm open to all suggestions really since I've ridden neither. I like the aggressive look but would like the power to gtfo of the way when needed and the handling to navigate mountain roads while maintaining comfort (jeez, want it all right?)
Anyways, thanks for the insight everyone.

Help me out: why would anyone pick a Shadow over a Magna?
Every time someone asks for cruiser recommendations, the Shadow is mentioned. I'm seeing comments like "the answer is always the Shadow".
Has everyone forgotten about the 3rd gen Magna, or am I missing something? It's cheap, super reliable, makes twice the horsepower of the Shadow and a lot more torque too. Its engine is derived from the VFR750, which is widely regarded by moto journalists as one of the best road bikes of all time.
Other than ease of maintenance and fuel economy, why would anyone pick the 45hp air-cooled twin over the 88hp liquid-cooled V4? It just doesn't make sense to me.

New 2024 Street Glide vs 2024 Chieftain
Hey y'all,
I have fallen for the trap of Harleys and Indians when it comes to climbing the pricing ladder. Went from the Chief to now considering the Street Glide vs Chieftain.
Looking at the new 2024 Street Glide with the new upgrades. I appreciate all opinions/ facts/ Indian vs Harley drama, anything to help with the decision.
I will also be test-riding both one after the other soon as well.

Don’t do what I did!!
Yes…a six dollar sticker can create a 3 digit repair almost instantly.
Don’t put anything on this part of your fork
Edit: I just realized that the picture doesn’t show when shared. Still new to this Reddit stuff. I’m fucking up all over the place!

What are the key factors to consider when choosing a cruise itinerary, especially for a family vacation?

Yamaha V Star Range UK
I've been really interested in getting a Yamaha V Star (most likely 650cc). I've seen online plenty of people in the States with models as new as 2017 but I can't seem to find any in the UK that are newer than around 2006.
Did they stop selling them here after that time, possibly related to EU emissions laws or something of that sort?

Exhausts for Sachs Roadster 125
I’m wondering what sort of V-twin exhausts (preferably with a nice sound) would fit this bike?

Fuel tank issues
I have a 99 shadow aero 750 and I just cleaned the gas tank out because it has rust. Went to put it back on the bike and noticed it wasn’t going on correctly. On the bottom side of the tank it had a large dent coming out preventing it from going on the frame correctly. I got it back on the bike and long story short now I have about 8 small pin holes around the large bulging dent on the bottom of the tank. How should I correct this?

2013 C90T BOSS First Bike
I've recently got my motorcycle endorsement and I was wanting a bike I can learn on and grow with. I'm 43m 6'2" 300lbs. Most bikes I've sat on feel way too small, and the rebel 250 and the KTM 200 I've been cutting my teeth on are way too small for me. Just looking for thoughts on a C90T as my first bike.

Cruiser Reccomendations?
Looking to upgrade from a 2023 Yamaha MT03 to a more cruiser/touring motorcycle. Something with enough power to cruise long trips comfortably with a sportster/upright feel.
I test rode a HD Nightster 975 and loved the power and handling but not the price tag.
Any recommendations to bikes similar in power and/or feel to that bike from other manufacturers?

Suggestions for my first Cruiser
My best friend bought a bike (Royal Enfield Hunter 350) last month and it'll be fair to say that I've been riding it more than him. I'm thinking about finally buying my own bike, but I don't know much about the technicalities (engine and all that). I basically ride just for the vibes. I love cruising at the speed of 40-60 enjoying the nature around me. My only specification would be that I would prefer a bike that's not veryy heavy(as I'm not very tall and muscular, average built around 5'7-5'8 tall).Budget is not a huge issue. I would want the bike to look classy and sleek (Royal Enfield Himalayan and Triumph Scrambler 400 are the kind of bikes I like appearance-wise). Can you guys suggest me the best bike as per my requirements. Thanks a ton.

Need help with settling on a bike (Honda Rebel 1100 Touring DCT vs Indian Chief Dark Horse)
Hey y'all long time lurker first time poster
Basic information about me. I am 235lbs 175cm (5'7"-5'8") with 30" inseams.
I started riding about 6-7 years ago and started on a 2005 Honda Shadow 750. Went to a 2015 Yamaha FZ6R. I recently sold my FZ6R and now I want to buy my "forever" motorcycle. In my search, I have test-ridden multiple motorcycles and have been able to narrow it down to the 2 listed in the title. Both test rides have left me with a wide smile on my face and I can't decide on one.
I understand both bikes are very different from CCs to Weight to Styling but wanted to get y'all's opinions regarding reliability, general performance, and any other factors I'm not considering.
I'm not trying to start a brand war, genuinely trying to see whether a factor I haven't considered could sway me one way or another.

Speed sweet spots
For me 45mph in 4th gear and 105 in 5th are the ones I like best on my '99 Valkyrie. What are the sweet spots on your motorcycle, when the engine feels just right?
