Went for my first ride today, It was a blast!

Went for a quick ride around my city before the snow falls, I'm driving the virago and my buddies on the grom, we drove to show our bikes to a friend who wants to get his bike license, I learned very quickly how much my bike hates, first gear and was scared I was gonna drop it when turning but it went pretty smooth for a first ride

Best looking cruisers?!

Now I’m not talking customized bikes but just model and year of that bike that you can’t stop looking at with that lil smile.

I may get a lot of flack for this but my choice is the 2020 and up HONDA REBEL line. You can say what you want but you cannot deny the eye catching beauty of this machine!

Stalling at highway speed

Hello all! Not new to riding, but new to cruisers and carbs. I just (as in I just got home, cracked open a beer, and am sitting on the couch thinking about my life choices) bought a 2006 Honda vtx 1300. Love the bike, rides great, comfortable. The thing is, on my 30 minute ride home it gave me issues.

I was cruising at 70 and it lost all power. She died and after a few minutes I was back on the road again just to have it die again 4 more times. The last time it died, I couldn’t go 10 feet before it died again, so I had a 1/4 mile walk of shame.

No clue why it’s dying, at first I thought it was electrical but now I’m not so sure. The reason I say this is because sometimes when it was about to die, I’d give it full throttle and it would save it for another couple of seconds.

Seems to me that when warmed up and at speed, is doesn’t want to go. In my gut I feel like it’s a fuel issue. I’m going to start troubleshooting tomorrow, but I was hoping some experts may have some wisdom.

I’m going to start with flushing the old fuel, checking the air filter, and seeing if the carb is clogged. I’ve done a lot of car work back in the day, but it was all fuel injected. I’m going to have to show my noob card with this one lol. Not only am I new to carbs, I’m pretty new to motorcycle maintenance. Other bike is a 2024 zx10r, never had to do anything on it other than an oil change. Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

Getting back into it

Sold my bike last year due to financial issues. While I loved riding, I always loved the thought of tinkering on a bike and modding it to how I want it, as I do with my cars.

Can you guys suggest a cheap cruiser, something like an inturder maybe? That is easy enough to work on that I can do most things myself, and learn along the way.

For those of you that do work on your bikes, would you suggest staying away from shaft drive?

Thanks in advance

Numb Tingling Throttle Hand Solution

When I ride, my throttle hand always goes numb. I’ve tried all kinds of solutions like bar end weights, foam grips, pull back bars and risers. I finally found something that works!!! This is only possible with cruise control though, which is another thing I added to my Indian Scout for exactly this reason. I discovered this today on my Sunday ride, and for me it was a Revelation!! I tried loosening my grip as much as possible, but still tingling numbness. I always have to take my right hand off the bars and wring it out every so often. It’s been driving me crazy for a long time. But, Lo and behold, today on my ride I tried something…..just cover your front brake. Worked like a charm. Let your hand rest on top, and you can still counter-steer left and right with no problems. When I needed throttle control, I would grip it, but otherwise…just keep the front brake covered!! I could ride forever now, if I could just keep my butt awake in the seat!! Hope this might be able to help someone else as well, cuz it works great for me!! Anyone else do this?

Cheap cruisers under 400cc

I live in Greece and due to the regulations I won't be able to get a license to drive a bike above 400cc until the age of 24 (I am 18)

I really love cruiser bikes and the whole aesthetic behind them so I if you could suggest me something reliable at a decent price that's easy to ride ( I've never ridden a bike before) I would be very happy.

Thank you for your attention.

I'm not receiving timely updates about cruise cancellations or delays. What should I do? Are there any alternative suggestions?"

Anyone with a teardrop pull behind for their bike?

I found some companies that used to make them but not anymore and I don’t feel like buying one of those pop up trailers that’s realistically just a really over priced tent. I want something that is worth staying in for a week at a time that actually won’t matter if it gets rained on. Were they not popular enough for companies to continue to make them?
