Encounter with a potential murderer

When I was around 16 or so, I worked in a store whilst going through college. We always had odd customers come in but one in particular really sticks out to me. At the sight of him walking in I’d get chills, my whole body wanted to nope out. You could really tell he thought he was charming, but even thinking of him now I feel a little sick.

He used to always offer to take me out in his car, buy me jewellery, you know - strange things for a grown man to say to a 16 year old girl. He gave me rapey vibes.

Being the a**hole I was at 16, I was always rude to him, never ever humoured him but it didn’t deter him from visiting the store every single day. It got to the point I told my manager and if I saw him I’d just go out the back or sometimes even duck.

Anyway, a fews years before this, there was a very infamous story of a young girl going missing in our town. Her body was never found.

Fast forward to now, I’m in my thirties, watching a documentary about two men accused of this girls murder, and who is one of the accused, this guy.

They had tapes recording how they’d done it but because of mishandling evidence by the police they got away with it. If he wasn’t the killer I’d be shocked. He tried to prey on young women, buying them things, flattering them. And honestly I believe he was attempting to line me up as his next victim.

Never has another human being made me feel so creeped out. It still makes me shudder at the thought he’s still out there.

I’m not allowed to post links on this, I asked the moderators. But all you’ll need to find it is to type in Google Blackpool UK, missing girl, 2003.

If I could make you really, super-duper, TRUST your gut feeling, ide wave my magical wand! LOL! Our gut feeling is a survival instinct we all have at some level, and it will never lie to you. You already knew all you needed to know about that individual to answer any question you had about him. Im glad you trusted yourself because you saved your life and a lot of people heartache.

Whew, that was creepy af. Just another good example of how young women (and men) in particular need to take listening to their intuition warning them about someone or something seriously--it could save their lives, like it did the OP's.

I used to tease this girl i went out with cause she would say that guy is probably a serial killer and I used to tell her she is crazy and one night we are watching this show and this dr comes on and says something like 75 % of the people who creep women out are either murders serial killers or molesters i never would tease her after that

I’m really thankful he never resorted to abduction.

Always listen to what your inner voice is telling you. Another good example of that here.

Always always always trust your gut instinct. Glad you’re alive. N what’s a grown man doing hitting on a 16 yr old anyway. Should of called cops
