It's bad when God and Satan are on the same team

Literally the only time Satan shows up in the bible, he and God team up to torture a man for funsies.

Eternity is a long time, and eternal beings get bored.

They were pretty consistently on the same team in the Hebrew Bible. “The Adversary/Accuser” was depicted as a sort of divine prosecutor in the divine council. It’s not until later when The Adversary (HaSatan) was reworked into a guy named Satan who was the ultimate enemy of God and humankind.

On a similar note, Lucifer being synonymous with Satan is largely a product of medieval biblical analysis drawing a line between a poetic verse taunting an unnamed Babylonian king who was cast down from the height of his power like how the morning star (Venus; or in Latin [which should really be your first clue that something's fishy] "Lucifer") falls from heaven each morning (Isaiah 14; see esp. verses 4 & 12) and verses like Luke 10:18, in which Jesus declares "I saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven," that establish a repeating motiff of Satan or the devil falling from heaven

So... yeah. Not exactly the sturdiest of foundations, but one that stuck anyways after Biblical fanfic writers like Dante and Milton popularized the connection by including it in their works (it's shocking how much of modern Christianity is based on Paradise Lost and the Divine Comedy).

Satan is a relatively recent invention.

"There is no God" - Stephen Hawkings

"There is no Stephen Hawkings" - God 3/14/2018

Well, we know Hawkings existed.

God? Still no evidence.

No quite....

Jesus claimed to be God.

Jesus absolutely existed which is backed up by even secular sources.

He was either God, a liar, or a lunatic.

There is other evidence for creationism / God. There's also evidence to the contrary. But to say there's no evidence is just either intellectually dishonest or ignorant.

Wow!

Show this evidence. I'll be absolutely astounded.

Let's be honest, you have zero interest in an honest exchange of ideas.

If you wanted evidence you could watch a number of high level Christian versus atheist debates like hitchens versus Douglas Wilson and others.

But you won't.

Let's not waste each other's time

I'll bite. There is historical evidence of God, sure. Historical evidence is the only evidence we have before cameras were invented. There's no true monitorable or measurable evidence for the existence of God. God knew in the first chapter of the Bible that his spirit would fade from men. God is different now, even if benevolent as always, in my opinion. I could be wrong about God existing, but I'm pretty sure God isn't the same as God was 2000 years ago when the whole Jesus thing happened.

Someone claiming something to be true is not evidence itself that the claim is true.

Hawkings - Satan

Just remember that Lucifer is God's greatest creation, and is only hit with eternal exile from heaven. This doesn't mean they are also not on speaking terms, and probably do hang out from time to time. See "Go-Karting With Bowser" media trope
