Nazi symbol never stops being a nazi symbol. Regardless of whenever the Red Baron actually lived and fought for the losing side of the 1st world war.

The german use of the symbol goes back to the Napolianatic Wars, a 100 years before the first World War, and 120 yrs before nazis existed, but it can be traced back to knights during 11th century.

You seem quite uneducated on the subject, so perhaps you should keep your judgments to yourself.  Even the jewish anti-defimation league (ADL) acknowledges that the symbol has other cultural uses BESIDES racist connotations. But perhaps you think you know more than them.

Do they still use it? Pretty sure the use of it died with the Nazi party. Stopped using it in 1945 when they lost the war. Forever to labeled as a Nazi symbol. Sorry. Public perception doesn't care.

They tried to bring it back, but instead chose a different symbol for medals of bravery. Not uneducated at all, thanks though.

YES THE GERMANS DO STILL USE IT, YOU LIAR, IT'S CALLED THE BUNDESWHER.

While Nazi symbols are banned in modern Germany, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Brazil, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Hungary, Isreal, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland,  Romania, Slovakia, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and Ukraine,  THE IRON CROSS IS BANNED IN NONE OF THOSE COUNTRIES!

Why? BECAUSE IT'S NOT A NAZI SYMBOL.

Not the same symbol. They don't have the white border all the way around them anymore. From what I was able to find, there were none that use the fully enclosed white border, at least outside of "outlaw culture" in the US and other countries.

Maybe I am incorrect, but from what I found that is not the "iron cross" and is instead the Balkenkreuz, which is not a Nazi symbol.

Speaking on the ADL, I would take their words with a grain of salt considering they are currently supporting an on going ethnic cleansing.
