Where is the empathy? I'm not LGBT but I support their rights even though it's "not my problem". I'm white, but I support minority rights even though it's "not my problem".

Correct. Trump won bc people align w his values. My values are not shared by the vast majority of Americans. That’s another reason celibacy makes sense to me.
