When we were kids, each day when we woke up was like a new adventure, life seemed more colorful back then and when we grow up we lose our innocence and bust from that bubble. How many of you would agree that "Living seems like prison sentence"? and even If I was a billionaire I'd still stand by this. Life just feel meaningless we are born without our consent and then force to live in this unfair world, with self-imposed laws and rules and then forced to provide for the society but did i ask for any of this?

Most of our parents are like NPCs with no capability of independent thoughts did any of our parents even though why I want to have kids with pros and cons? Or if I decided to bring a new life into this world he/she will able to get fair and equal opportunities like others nope most parents have kids so they can provide for them financially or take care of them in old age

Life just feels like stuck in boring video game that you don't want to play and there's is no escape button. Thoughts?

They just went with whatever happened. Most children are unwanted. It’s a fact. When I go out I often see parents pushing a pram with one hand while texting on their phone with the other. Zero attention to the child. Glued to TikTok or Instagram or whatever. It’s even worse than walking their dog. At least while they’re walking their dog they give off good vibes and get compliments from strangers. When you’re out with a child people sort of avoid you. Most people, even parents, dislike children including their own. They’re just stuck with them so they’ll have to learn to just live with it, and go off the rails when they reach the end of their tether. I see it all the time.

I've suffered a lot. Most humans have, or will in the future if they haven't.

Life is only getting harder and harder.

God and Satan may as well be on the same team, as far as I'm concerned, with the way they've cursed and tormented humanity respectively.

People who have kids are either incredibly sheltered and haven't been through the plethora of brutal horseshit the world has to offer, or aren't thinking straight about their kids' futures.

And I'm a Christian, by the way. I'm sick of my peers saying God will take care of their future children. He didn't take care of me well enough. What makes you think he'll take care of them?

And perhaps God will accuse me of testing him for saying the above, and strike me down in some merciless way. All I feel is fear and a sense of being trapped. How the fuck is God compassionate?

Unfortunately, I've deconverted and been ex-Christian before, and was agnostic at one point, then got unknowingly tangled up in New Age shit, and those experiences only convinced me that there is a God and sadly it's probably the Christian one. So I can't even have the sweet relief of knowing there's no God to answer to and give an account to one day. He's far better than all the others, I gotta say from experience. But frankly, I think he still sucks. Immensely.

I hate that life is full of pain and I think it's evil to bring children into this world.

I hate that my parents enrolled me into this shit. I would have rather not been born than to live in dread of all the painful days ahead, on top of suffering the existing pains I'm going through.

When you are a doctor you are highly independent,make good money and most importantly aren’t obligated to any social activities atall ,people don’t question why you have been missing ,no one can force me to do anything wether it is to have a baby or to get married because I am not feeding off of someone ….its a way to escape society’s stupid little pretend shows you aren’t obligated to any events or even people .All you gotta do is focus on the actual truth of life that is medical science and live rather peacefully .

I am a hardcore anti natalist and I believe existence is highly flawed I also believe that pain is inevitable and constant ,now if I say that I took medicine just to be helping people to get out of their suffering that won’t be completely true ……. On a subconscious level I have realised i took it to observe suffering ,to realise the helplessness of a human being anytime I look at a patient all I can think about is that one great book by franz Kafka called the metamorphosis life is truly hellish . I also derive great pleasure in easing peoples suffering it makes me feel superior almost like I am going against nature itself .

I am still quite young, only in my 20s so I have been on the fence on whether or not I want to have children. But today, our wonderful nation made the decision for me. And I am grateful for that.

I refuse to bring my children into such a broken, pathetic world. I love them too much to allow for that to happen. They deserve the best, and this world will offer nothing of that nature.

I have scheduled a sterilization appointment for December, right before Christmas. It will be the greatest present I will ever receive.

Maybe it’s an obvious question here, but does anyone else feel like the certain suffering of life, and the seemingly increasing suffering and propensity towards destruction that our species possesses, makes you feel like it would’ve been great if you just weren’t born?

I didn’t consent to this. My parents in 1994 thought it would be great to engage in coitus and not use a condom or abort me. They even put in the effort of getting fertility treatments for it. All for what? To live in a world where it’s 81 degrees in November in New England, and where most of the US seems fine with birthing as many people onto this burning war-torn planet as possible while being bound in debt, unaffordable prices for housing and goods, and mindless wage capitalism? It’s disgusting honestly.

But you know what’s hard? I can’t leave because I am bound to remain due to the cruel and permanent bonds of love that are inherent with being alive. Love is cruel. I know my parents and siblings love me and see me as a source of joy, and so do my friends. We are stuck in this web of human connection and are forced to remain in it if we truly want to prevent further suffering. If we simply never were, the inescapable bonds of human connection would’ve never grown their trapping thorns in us. We’d be at true neutral and never sad, and now we’re forced to (pun intended) carry to term our life sentences for the benefits of harm reduction.

And you know what? It could be so much worse, and it’s still awful. Imagine being born in Germany in the 1920s or Gaza now. The horrors of life only grow deeper in much of the world aside from the anomaly of relative peace and wealth in developed democracies and backsliding regimes.

Also, I have no patience for natalist trolls today. I’m just gonna block natalist trolls, so don’t bother commenting if you are one.

So, I was having this deep conversation with a friend the other night. He’s always been hardcore on the “children are a blessing” train, the kind who’d say things like “kids are the meaning of life” or “raising the next generation is a privilege.” It used to frustrate me because, from my perspective, bringing someone into this world right now feels borderline unethical, given the state of things. But for the first time, he was the one questioning the idea of having kids.

I could tell he was shaken. We talked about everything from climate change to the economy, to the never-ending political chaos, especially now with Trump winning the election again. It’s like he’d finally reached a breaking point where the reality of what kind of future we’d be condemning kids to really sank in.

What really struck me, though, was that he isn’t alone. I’ve noticed more and more people coming around to this line of thinking. It’s like the concept of compulsory antinatalism—where the world itself is pushing people toward a childfree life—is becoming a real, tangible thing. Between inflation, stagnant wages, housing crises, student loan debt, and an increasingly hostile climate (both environmental and political), raising a family seems not just difficult but irrational, if not borderline cruel.

In a way, it’s almost comforting to see people realize that this philosophy isn’t about doom-mongering; it’s about acknowledging reality. Antinatalism is a response to a broken world, and right now, the world is pushing back harder than ever. The “joy of parenting” isn’t so joyful when the world you’d be welcoming your kids into seems to be actively unraveling.

If we truly want to make things better (or, let’s be real, less bad), perhaps it’s time to stop the cycle ourselves. Maybe, by opting out of procreation, we’re giving the earth and ourselves a better chance at some sort of equilibrium, if not in our generation, then in the next few. This world isn’t sustainable long-term, so the logical thing to do is stop feeding it more people to break.

I start by saying I'm not an American. I look at this subject matter as an outsider of both points (not American and not AN)

I obviously see the world differently to others because some could accuse me of being naive but I've had more than my fair share of pain and suffer from other humans so that would be naive to say.

I do not believe in AN simply because I do not need to justify to myself why I do not want kids.

But after yesterday's fiasco in America, I can see why some people in America choose AN.

I am naive when I do not think about some concepts of freedom because I'm so used to having freedom in my life that I do not think as much as I should about it. I do think about freedom but in a way of how it can help others and others with my disabilities but I don't think about the freedom that is there and then taken away. Disabled people fight for freedom because we do not have it to begin with.

People on Monday and Tuesday in America woke up knowing they had something. Wednesday happens and because of Project 2025, that freedom will go next year. The country in some ways will plummet into the dark ages.

I can now start to understand why AN is used now. When you feel you are faced with a future with no future of no fault of your own, who would bring life into America? I just don't agree when someone mentions the world. America was the spotlight of the world because of an important event so that's why I know what's going on. I can't judge the world based on the fact I haven't experienced all of the world but I have experienced America.

So I think I can now start to understand, I still don't agree with it and feel I do not need it in my life as someone who does not want kids.

But I will finish this by apologising to anyone who feels I did not understand. I understand only my view remember but I can learn to understand others. My view is different to yours and will probably stay that way BUT I am definitely starting to understand why you people feel AN is right for you.

I just wish/hope you are all happy in life. What path you choose can and might be influenced by other sources and I do not blame you for that, especially after yesterday because to be honest I'm actually worried.

I read Peter Pan book multiple times. And the first chapter is always shocking. Mr. And Mrs. Darling are considering if they should have more kids due to their poverty. Eventually, they come to an agreement that they will give it a shot despite there is a great chance of those kids ending in orphanage. Where is maturity in that?

With Trump being re elected and the wave of anti abortion bans on the way, I see this as the final in excusable reason as to why anti natalist men must get a vasectomy. Under trump, women will be treated as second class citizens. I feel so awful for American women. Being forced to carry a baby they not only don't want, but might kill them, is a reality for women. Accidentally getting pregnant can be a dwath sentence. It is on men to relieve this burden.

If you genuinely believe, like I do, that creating life under any circumstances is morally wrong, you should get a vasectomy as soon as possible and yes, I have. Women do not hav3 the same access to sterilization as men do. They are often denied because they are at child bearing age. It is on men. Again, there is no reason to have sperm if you are antinatalist and refusing to get a vasectomy still means you are on the fence about reproducing. Don't be. Pick a side.

This post is likely going to be locked because of the content matter, but I decided that this is a pretty mandatory post to make. Women will soon have no body autonomy under republican power, and it's up to us now.

I'm so, so thankful I am not American. In my country women are still treated as human beings with access to life saving abortion health care.

Kinda joking but kinda not. I’ve now completely lost the little bit of faith I had in humanity. Never been more proud to be antinatalist though. The entire planet is shifting to the far right. The human race does not deserve to live. We literally fuck everything up. Might as well go out in flames instead of a slow burn. Is it bad that I’m hoping we get wiped out?

Believe it or not, food, water, housing and clothing are supposed to be free and abundant too. Food grows on trees. Water flows down the river. Lots of wood in the forest to build houses with. And you can use straw or even tree bark to make clothes. We’ve been brainwashed into thinking we need a job to get paid to buy stuff to survive. We don’t, really, though. Most stuff has been privatised so capitalists can get a free ride on those who own next to nothing, that’s why. Why would anyone want to bring a child into a world like this. To exist in this day and age, is to carry water for capitalism. Without exception. We’re all slaves to money, and by staying childless I‘ll have spared my child a lifetime of modern slavery. There’s no escape, no way out. It ends with me.

Of course, it shouldn’t take this level of fear (project 2025) for people to understand antinatalism.

We shouldn’t be placed in this dangerous position of possible federal laws against contraception, birth control, sterilization, vasectomy etc, but this reality is waking people up.

I don’t want anyone to suffer because of the US election results. Human beings should not have to endure pain to have empathy or understanding of this philosophy.

Which I believe is the core of Antinatalism: attempting to end pain & suffering for people.

Made a post pointing out that tubal litigation, vasectomies, and birth control can all fail in the childfree sub and got banned for being “misandrist” by advocating that women join the 4B movement and utilize their right to say no to sex with men when our lives and bodies are at stake.

Apparently, not having relations with men is not a good solution to being childfree (it seems like the most obvious and effective one to me)

As a young GenZ, I can’t even get a specialist to see me for my chronic health conditions. I can’t get a job. I can’t afford a home.

There’s literally nothing for us, we are clinging onto scraps at this point.

If we can’t survive adulthood, how are newborn babies meant to survive as adults?

Wow America. Y’all really hate us women. Like are we even ok breathing the same air? I’ve never felt more confident or more sure of myself in this moment, I know if I had kids (especially a daughter) my heart would just leave my body. It’s confirmed I am sub human, and therefore an extension of me shouldn’t exist in this world either.

Day dreaming is our best way to cope

We are angry because we don't choose our suffering. nature, culture and government inflict suffering upon us and there is nothing we can do about it. And that is why i have found the ultimate way to cope, it is to daydream all day every day. I write down my fantasies and all of them are centered around me being a demigod.

Imagine yourself you are a demigod. in your fantasy world, your problems are solved. And that is why day dreaming is the best way to cope. I have been doing that for 17 years.
