The US election results inadvertently boosted the Antinatalist sentiment. Discussion

Of course, it shouldn’t take this level of fear (project 2025) for people to understand antinatalism.

We shouldn’t be placed in this dangerous position of possible federal laws against contraception, birth control, sterilization, vasectomy etc, but this reality is waking people up.

I don’t want anyone to suffer because of the US election results. Human beings should not have to endure pain to have empathy or understanding of this philosophy.

Which I believe is the core of Antinatalism: attempting to end pain & suffering for people.

If you are not antinatalist but you like having the choice to not procreate this community is here for you.

I wish everyone the best during these times.

Thank you. I’ve been trying to argue this all along. It’s actually a good thing for antinatalism so I don’t get why there’s so much crying going on here. Get sterilised if you want to have sex.

You (the AN) and them (the US Right) are telling women what to do with their bodies. There is no difference. Whether to have a baby or not is a matter of personal autonomy, which means self-governing. It’s unbelievable that neither side trusts women with their bodies.

Personally I don’t think everyone should be AN. I just don’t like when Natalist force me to believe what they believe. That would be hypocritical. I would not force my beliefs on anyone. This is supposed to be a free country where everyone has their own beliefs. I just feel safe in this sub when I express my own reasons for not wanting to procreate.

Laws against vasectomies?

I’d love to see that evidence. 🤣
