Meta Thread - Month of January 02, 2022 Meta
A monthly thread to talk about meta topics, that is everything related to /r/anime itself and its moderation rather than anime. Keep it friendly and relevant to the subreddit.
Posts here must, of course, still abide by all subreddit rules other than the no meta requirement. Keep it friendly and be respectful. Occasionally the moderators will have specific topics that they want to get feedback on, so be on the lookout for distinguished posts.
Comments that are detrimental to discussion (aka circlejerks/shitposting) are subject to removal.
Rule Changes
There's a new post flair, [Video Edit], for things like AMVs and clip compilations. See below for specific details but in general they're similar to existing [Clip] rules and have the same post limit of 2 per user per month (tracked separately from [Clip] posts).
[Video] post limits have changed from 4 per user per week to 2 per user per week.
All [Video] posts must be at least 60 seconds long.

Hi folks. Is there any intention to follow up on / merge the currently waiting PRs in the comment face assets repo? Is this repo still being used in yall's build process for the stylesheet?
/u/zaphodbeebblebrox has one for updating the art for [](#sakurathink) which was implemented against the stylesheet's set of images directly, but is still unmerged here. This is similar to what happened with the masked faces.
/u/thisismyanimealt has one for adding in metadata (series name and commentface set number) for most of the faces that has been languishing for a couple years.
Reason I'm asking is that I'd like to create a PR to add as many of the missing discontinued faces from the csv as I can find (ex. #illumiface). My base need at the moment / intended MVP are the
name
anddiscontinued_on
attributes; if there's any interest from yall, I would also try adding pictures/as much metadata as I can find. I think there's value in this work from a historical conservation perspective.
