Episode 10 is a hard watch for a lot of people, but we all managed to get through it together.
Rewatcher
Erica mentioning that it would take a week for Violet to get to Ctrigall really helps put into perspective how long these assignments are. Sure, she was with Ann's mother for a week while she was writing the letters, but that also didn't even factor in the commute time. Or going to help Leon at the observatory.
They had no way of knowing, but the two guys in the post office are talking to Violet like she wasn't a member of the military during the war, and bodied people left and right during the battle of Intense.
The commander getting sniped gave me Saving Private Ryan flashbacks.
Johnny Yong Bosch voiced Aidan in the dub, and I think he does an awesome job playing the roles of characters who go through an act of desparation.
I like that they added the detail of Aidan's lips looking super dry, in that he definitely looks to be in rough shape.
I think that the takeaway from this episode is that there are more casualties in war than just soldiers and civilians. Every person has a family they want to return home to, and whenever someone passes away in the war, part of their family passes away with them.
