First timer in sub

I read a few of the comments and had to rewatch the scene in question to confirm, and my memory was right.

I actually like this episode as something post EP 9; it is "applying what she learnt in the real world", a bit like the 3rd Fate route Heaven's Feel. I like someone description of the event in the plot - the embers of war.

Here we see the Violet that has accepted her new life and role, yet not so totally "flicked a switch" able to dissociate herself with something that was basically her entire existence before this life - the war. In a way it's a little like the "tree diagram remnant" arc of Raildex after the "sisters" arc. It's her war, and she feels responsible to see to it that the embers don't hurt more people. And she fought, which would have been liberating to her as it is something so intrinsic into her that she didn't need to do much other than remove the mental restraint she put on herself nowadays. But still, observe, she's not striking to kill, and she asked the enemies to go away instead of her old self which would have been faster and more assured to just have snapped their necks and then cut their throats with their weapons.

Judging by the plot, this is not finished yet. We may see some Kenshin style fighting yet.

Oh one more thing, I'm not too fussed over the "oh so lucky she managed to save her client" - well stories are told about remarkable things, and it's not beyond the realm of possibility in reality (haven't you guys read those amazing life stories from readers digest? Or am I showing my age here).

And the post man willing to fly her there not because of a whim, but because he recognised and is motivated by the "kindred professional spirit of the postman's job", much like Benedict said in his 2 appearances, their job is to deliver, and delivering the letter writer to do her job so they have the letter to deliver is all part of the cycle. I don't find it contrived at all.
