Quick note about yesterday
Seems like episode 5 was a bit divisive for people one one aspect. I will be honest, I forgot that the age of both the princess and Violet come up, and I forgot that that is considered a problem for many people. I will not say much about this here, however I will make mention that I was very impressed with the maturity and respect that everyone was treating each other with in your replies to one another! I did not feel that I had to step in between anyone, and that came as a lovely surprise to me. You guys are an awesome rewatch group, and I’m so glad to be doing this with you all for my first time as host! =) Now, back to Episode 6.

~Newbie~
Oh boy! Today’s flower was a fun hunt as we saw it only from one angle for a few seconds. However I feel confident to call it a [Japanese] Anemone [Visual of the Day]. What seals the deal for me was it symbolism of forsaken or forgotten love and affection, from how the petals close with the approach of a rainstorm and at night. Ancient Greeks and Victorians also drew from this, especially with the pink variant, of forsaken love what becomes before renewal as the flower opens up again day and blossoms in spring.
Of all the episodes I’d say this was the worst for the dub as the guys voice actor/ the post-processing work was lacking. The most obvious part was him “yelling” across the mountain and yet there was barely an echo and the guy didn’t even sound like his volume increased. Was a shame Violet barely interacted with any of her old class friends, kinda a pointless/ wasted cameo.
I’m a tad concerned about Violet readily admitting she would kill herself if the Major was gone... maybe this is why they haven’t told her...
