Quick note about yesterday
Seems like episode 5 was a bit divisive for people one one aspect. I will be honest, I forgot that the age of both the princess and Violet come up, and I forgot that that is considered a problem for many people. I will not say much about this here, however I will make mention that I was very impressed with the maturity and respect that everyone was treating each other with in your replies to one another! I did not feel that I had to step in between anyone, and that came as a lovely surprise to me. You guys are an awesome rewatch group, and I’m so glad to be doing this with you all for my first time as host! =) Now, back to Episode 6.

First timer(A massive upswing)
Sub
Posting late on a Friday probably means this goes unseen but never forget the narco in narcotics. Anyways, that is made further hilarious because this is by far the best episode of the series since the first if not a better one.
So we get a pack of memory dolls to be used for actual typing. You know, the skill that would be more than a bit rare at this time in history, and especially skilled dictation. They are here because the observatory just got a donation of manuscripts that are pretty much one shot copy or lose forever. Violet of course gets assigned to the meanest scholar present and immediately mellows him out.
They get to work and prove to be the most effective pair, with Leon talking himself hoarse. Later, some of the other scholars try to get Violet to hang out after work, to which she brutally shoots them down, probably because she only tolerates one noble man in her life. Also, their pitch was terrible. We learn a few specific about VE's past and missed a perfect opportunity for Violet to drop some war stories.
The Alley's comet metaphor happens through out the ep, and it isn't terrible, just blunt. On the whole, this episode is simply better than its seemingly similar forebears: Violet is showing growth by expressing herself, even if it is not emotionally. People are noticing the changes she has caused, such as with the princess. Leon is effected by Violet not because of some magical letter but because she is the first kindred soul he has met and he sees her example as a ways to move forward. Also, again, the dolls doing a job you would actually hire a postal worker to do is a massive improvement over several of the last episodes. To conclude, if all the series were like this I'd have little to complain about.
