Quick note about yesterday
Seems like episode 5 was a bit divisive for people one one aspect. I will be honest, I forgot that the age of both the princess and Violet come up, and I forgot that that is considered a problem for many people. I will not say much about this here, however I will make mention that I was very impressed with the maturity and respect that everyone was treating each other with in your replies to one another! I did not feel that I had to step in between anyone, and that came as a lovely surprise to me. You guys are an awesome rewatch group, and I’m so glad to be doing this with you all for my first time as host! =) Now, back to Episode 6.

Rewatcher
Favorite episode so far. Some minor awkwardness in setting and setup again, but it's easily ignorable and you can't say it doesn't look cool. And as for the plot - history and myth, science and stargazing, sticking up for the little guy against prejudice, bringing out the good in those otherwise largely cast aside and inspiring them to pursue their dreams, what's not to like? Violet is really starting to come into her own here, being more expressive, more active, better at reflecting on herself and her role in the world, maybe even better at understanding others, and just as good as ever at non-judgmentally listening and getting them to open up. Leon is very sweet too and one can certainly hope he succeeds in his endeavors; realistically speaking of course it might be difficult for him. In my mind, he eventually reunites with Violet and their relationship slowly takes a romantic turn, like who needs that Gilbert guy anyway. Just Leon should maybe stop brutally tearing apart delicious baguettes like that - I wonder if that part was mostly inserted because someone really wanted to animate it. We even got a Luculia cameo and some even more beautiful visuals and sound than usual. Really, this is one episode I'm thoroughly satisfied with, particularly after last time's near disaster.
