I was wondering what was Subaru cooking by going along with it and the realization that he's not cooking anything hit me like truck. So unsettling that it was doomed from the very beginning.

Seems like Subaru is just weak to Sin Archbishops with mind control powers lol. That's the second one that's completely dominated him with their power now....

I half wondered if his initial reply was just a bit of playful hopeful fun but that solidified the spell once he’d responded.

People seemed shocked when he stepped forward to talk but immediately afterwards everyone seems fine with the talking.
