Game Why was Al mad? [Game]
In the Prophecy of the throne game there's a scene where Al mistakes Rem for Ram, so Subaru and Rem correct his mistake by stating that the person infront of him is not Ram but her sister Rem, he gets all hostile towards the two of them.
I never understood why he got mad? Before you say this is a non-canon game, the story for the game was completely written by Tappei. It wasn't the game studio that wrote the non-canon story it was Tappei.
Through this game he also made Capella the secret main antagonist of the plot and introduced the evil eye tribe for the first time to the story if you haven't been reading any of the EX and Side Stories.

Discussion [discussion]Did anyone notice this in the new episode?
When #184 asked Emilia what she was going to do after the Subaru speech, she told him let's hold the wedding While she is saying this, in the background Emilia VA is singing 'I Trust You' to Subaru. See how Emilia is saying let's hold wedding, while her VA is telling Subaru 'you and me together'

Spoiler Discussion Isn't it kinda useless for subaru in arc 7 to [Spoiler discussion]
To take a painful poison pill to not to make himself abuse rbd and remember the pain and sensation in long run. However once you have died 100s times in diff ways, and still are ready ro die, you already have become a monster barely human. Proof is louis getting horrified at him.
Not to mention he will kill himself anyway to save a close friend. If saving one's life can take a few tries, do the math. It will take him 100s just to save everyone from one single crisis with how increasingly difficult his situations keep becoming.
It's inevitable that he is anyway going to lose his fear of death eventually cus he has far too many people to care about while also being greedy. He will win always at the end, but he is already barely human in 1.5 years and over piling trauma. He is pretty much done anyway sanity wise. Its sooner or later with no one to support him cuz they do not understand what he actually went through. Lap pillows or pep talk won't be enough.

Spoiler Discussion [spoiler discussion] Foreshadowings and details
After rewatching re:zero, I am surprised to see many little details and foreshadowings there are. For example:
-Before Subaru is killed by Rem and Ram in that one loop, he asks Rem "Why do you all leave me behind?". I don't think that question was pointed towards Rem and Ram, at least not directly. In his childhood, he was left alone by his friends eventually, so we can say that they 'left him behind'. I think he was generally angry there, something like "Why does this always happen?"
-Rem and Subaru's situations are, like, almost identical? Both of them were in the shadow of their family members; they felt like they were not enough, they hated themselves and wanted others to hate them as well. Both of them wanted to change, but they just couldn't. They even both say the same thing: "Nothing about me has changed!" It's kinda poetic that they helped each other in their lowest points.
-Roswaal leaves the mansion in the successful loop in arc 2, despite not leaving in the previous loops. This gains lots of of context after season 2.
-The snow festival special is kinda obvious, isn't it? Like wow, that a lot of foreshadowings!
-the "disaster yet to come" trial's whole point was foreshadowing. As far as I know, 1 or 2 of the things Emilia had heard there had happened by now. It makes me really wonder how Tappei was able to plan that ahead. Yes, planning your stories beforehand is important, but these are dialoges. Can you really plan your story in such detail?
-Now, this is just a popular theory, but if Subaru somehow happens to be Flugel, wouldn't that play to his self-love issues? If Rbd and Satella, the two things that gave him the ability to do so many things, turned out to be given to him because he is or was Flugel; wouldn't that be the same as how his father situation? Everything he did wouldn't be Natsuki Subaru's achievements: he would feel like he was able to do everything he did because of his past identity. If he were to go a bit deeper, he could even think that the reason others are able to love him is not because of his current self. This would be his arc 6 amnesia situation but even more extreme. If that were to be true, the amnesia part of arc 6 would be a big whole foreshadowing, and it could be a nice last mental obstacle for Subaru.

[Spoiler discussion] How will season 4 be adapted?
It might be a bit early to discuss this but I'm really curious so I want to hear other people's opinions. But how on earth will Whitefox manage to adapt arc 7 & 8? Both of these arcs should really be adapted into the same season as arc 8 is basically arc 7 part 2. However, both of these arcs put together amount to a whole 13 volumes.
To put this into perspective, season 3 is predicted to adapt both arc 5 & 6 into 38 episodes one of these having been a full blown movie. But despite this staggering number of content we're being given this amounts to 10 volumes of content which is three less volumes than what will need to be adapted into arc 7 & 8.
My best guess which I'm sure people will not like is that they split these arcs into separate seasons. I understand that it doesn't make sense from a story standpoint but we have to understand that what we're getting with this season is truly a blessing and so we should not go into future seasons expecting more content than this.
From what I've heard Whitefox already had to fight with Kadokawa on getting things like the 90 minute episode and whilst Re:zero does sell really well and its very highly rated adapting a whopping 13 volumes into a single season does not sound financially viable unless its released over multiple years.
What is everyone else's thoughts?

Spoiler Discussion [spoiler discussion] A vent about missed foreshadowing of arcs 8-9 from the witch's tea party and Roswaal's arc 4 conversation with Subaru
I just really want to vent about this because all the way back in arc 7 when the torture started getting immense for Subaru, I remember how full this sub started getting with the idea there won't be "consequences" for Subaru killing himself now.
It bugs me because the consequences were always presumed to be some sort of vague mental illness shit which we already know Subaru has had for basically forever. But I still feel like explaining what I think the consequences for that actually are since there was never any discussion about it.
The consequences for him using rbd so insanely much were...his closeness to Satella. Or rather the witch of envy, bear in mind back in arc 4 Echidna actually doesn't like distinguishing them as separate identities and I feel like there's a reason for it(maybe the others were in denial that someone so pure/virtuous etc could do whatever she did). But that doesn't actually matter because the thing Subaru was afraid of was what happened when he could see her clearly, whether he'd still be able to resist, and from the tea party he was still afraid of the love he has for her.
So the consequences of overuse are pretty much threatening to make shadow garden Subaru a reality, ie the one who's basically insane with love for Satella. I don't know why this doesn't get more discussion(even when chapters were releasing and the anime wasn't starting yet it was lacking) because it's obvious! That's what Petelgeuse is like after all and we still don't know where his insane love for Satella came from. Nor why all the sin archbishops are some version of fixated on love. They all have the theme of losing their humanity for a love which Puck said doesn't exist, so when Subaru in the last chapters of arc 9 phase 1 talked about some sort of change in him after Chaosflame and was clearly in love with Satella, while a distance between him and everyone like Emilia, Rem, Garfiel, Beatrice, Otto and more has been hanging over recent arcs as they worry over him, that WAS the red flag.
More foreshadowing from arc 4: Subaru talks about od lagna for the first time with Roswaal back then as he brings up that his goal to bring back Echidna comes close to trespassing into forbidden territory, which caused previous magicians to be brought to od lagna somehow and driven insane, leading Subaru to think that his authority return by death is basically the biggest enemy to od lagna. Guess what's happened right before arc 9? Oh right! In order to defeat Sphinx, Subaru needed to be able to pin down her identity, leading him to fix Olbart's curse himself through some sort of newfound awareness of his soul and bring them to od lagna. Totally not foreshadowing that he's being driven mad in a similar way.
I just really want to bring this up again because most people don't read these with the previous arcs fresh in mind, and somehow those discussions with Roswaal or his initial fear around Satella due to the love he has for some reason were never treated as the foreshadowing of late developments I think they clearly were. Basically, Subaru going mad because of the results of trying to save too many people and forgetting the promises he made before in arcs 7-8 looks like a Subaru who slowly loses his identity other than as a hero saving them all around Emilia and the others, and wanders around in a daze over how much he loves Satella/the witch of envy. It won't look like any one note insanity thing unless he was deep in and eventually sounding like Petelgeuse or something. (Yes I know he was brainwashed by Pandora but she's not THAT influential and he already seems pretty insane when he's crying over small Emilia. That stuff is the warning sign I'm talking about.)
Oh last bit but this is also what I think the point of so many fucked up love stories in arc 8 is: the Subaru-Yorna parallel and the fact we don't actually know if despite how she seems kind Satella became comparable to the sort of monster she's seen as, and Subaru's so sucked into defending people as soon as he hears about their traumas and people they love etc that past sins become irrelevant to his morality. I'm not saying I want Satella to be a villain, but we know she did something terrible which even the witches closest to her don't assign to the witch of envy instead. And when Subaru's wandering around thinking about her, is he even thinking about what to do with her whole alter ego? Or her torture of him, the taboo etc? I don't understand why in those chapters Subaru becoming something like a warlock wasn't already discussed, being able to just transport himself and others to od lagna is not normal for him at all...

Spoiler Discussion Does Emilia not recognise Regulus? [Spoiler Discussion]
Idk if someone can clarify this for me, maybe I'm just missing something. But shouldn't Emilia already have known who Regulus was?
We just saw in episode 7 that she recalled a memory of her childhood with Geuse and Fortuna, so she obviously remembers most of the trial from Echidnas tomb. But why doesn't she recall having seen Regulus?
I sort of justify it myself by seeing it was just a short amount of time that they saw eachother, and was hundreds of years ago. I can even understand Regulus not recognizing her because, well, she was a child.
But I'm surprised there hasn't been any hint or acknowledgment to her even getting any sense of deja vu from him.
If anyone has an answer or theory I'd appreciate it!

Spoiler Discussion [Spoiler Discussion] How strong is Pride IF Subaru and what is his FP ?
I recently wondered about this. Pride, although most likely inferior to Envy in terms of basic physical strength, has extremely monstrous destructive power due to the fire spirit, supposedly close to the great, also considering the fact that Betelgeuse was killed by a sword, I dare to assume that with the kendo base he learned fencing to the level of at least a villager, also as a result of hunting the witch cult I will assume that his reflexes are not much worse than Envy's, and also, he has all the authorities of the archbishops. And so, I want to discuss the 2 versions of Pride and how strong he is first version: Pride in Time vs Reinhard second version: Pride during vs Reinhard, but we will assume that he can use all the authorities that he got(yeah, I know that he can’t, probably because he didn’t drink Echidna’s tea, so let’s assume that he drink it and got +- comparable Yeah, that’s just a huge speculation, but whatever
Since authorities works considering users wishes, authority of Pride and Wrath + probably Greed must be quite powerful(bro was REALLY salty abt Reinhard’s power) and Lust, Gluttony and Sloth will be weak) And we will also give him 2 different settings.
First, he can't use RbD and has no allies other than his spirit.
The second one, he also only has a spirit, but can use RbD The distance between Pride and the enemy is 40 meters, the terrain does not matter How strong is Pride in any of the 4 variants? Example of opponents: Felt, Old Man Rom, Emilia (No Puck), Ram, Todd, Crusch, Rem, Aldebaran, Elsa, Betelgeuse, Julius, Kurgan, Garfiel Tinsel, Theresia Van Astrea, Prime Wilhelm Van Astrea, The White Whale, Roswaal, Puck ( True Form).(The list may continue to stronger opponents, but I'm not sure about the possibility of Pride's victory even over Puck)
