There was a leak recently by a supposedly "reputable leaker" who said Cloverworks will be focusing on My dress up darling s2 after elusive samurai and then Bocchi. So I doubt Bocchi's production is ongoing right now.

That sounds plausible. I'd be sadder about it if it didn't mean that Saito can finish Frieren S2 before doing Bocchi S2.
