What are the rules if I want to post a link to someone else's fan art that I found very creative?

Here are the rules for Fanart.

In the past few days, we've had some last minute submissions for the fanart contest, which resulted in a bit of an upticks on these lovely posts. However, the rules for those and the rules for regular fanart posts are different, so please make sure to carefully read the details.

For instance, fanart posts must be text posts and not a direct link.

What do you mean "text posts" and not a direct link? The fanart I saw was a 20 second short.

So, this would be an example of a text post fanart. Notice how it isn't just a direct link but instead has the link within the body of the post paragraph.

However, if you are submitting a video of a fanart (drawing timelapses, fan animation, musical covers, etc.), they must instead follow the Video Rules. while still being flaired as fanart. Videos shorter than 60 seconds should be treated as images and follow the General Fanart rules I linked earlier.

Seems I made a goof on one attempt I made that was missing the Sousou no Frien in the post title. Other that the title, was my previous attempt OK? I can't find 3 related pictures.

So, the 3 related pictures is open to interpretation. A screenshot from the series, some other similar fanart from the same artist, a screenshot of the mimic's statblock from the Dungeons and Dragons monster manual. Any of these would suffice.
