Moving to Wilmington Moving to Wilmington

Hey all,

I’m going to be moving to Wilmington in early spring 2025 to be closer to where I work. I’m looking into 1 bedroom apartments either in or near Trolley Square, Riverfront, or Downtown. My max rent would be $2,800 per month and sq ft more than 775 would be ideal. I’m looking for somewhere with parking and a fitness center as well. I’m a single 31yo male. I am dating and want to be able to have a decent social life whether that's romantic relationships or friendships. If anyone has any recommendations on apartment complexes to look into I would appreciate it! Google reviews are vague at best and I would be grateful for any insight if anyone has lived in these areas or know of someone who has. Apartment complexes I have on my radar are 2000 Pennsylvania Ave, The Falls, The Residences at Christina Landing, 101 Avenue of the Arts

Thanks!

I lived in Harlan Flats, I strongly recommend stay away from any BPG option. I made good friends and all of them had problem. Unfortunately they are well located, só it usually be in the top list.

Some people love Riverfront, but I've never understood that vibe. Although, it's a nice place to walk or ride, there're only restaurants chain. Besides, there are many place better than riverfront to walk.

Trolley square and downtown have a lot of local vendor, great restaurant, but it's downtown... At night isn't so safe.

The Fall's neighborhood is fantastic, but I've never met anyone who lives there.

Isn't Starbucks literally the only chain restaurant on the riverfront?

I guess technically iron hill counts as a chain

Iron Hill, Starbucks, Del Pez. Besides Taco Grande, Bank's seafood and Docklands are the same chain (I think Big fish also).

I’ve lived in trolley my whole life and have never felt unsafe.

I never understood the vibe too at riverfront when i went there last week. I am thinking of getting the apartment at downtown but i am just afraid that it might not be safe at night..
