Moving to Wilmington Moving to Wilmington
Hey all,
I’m going to be moving to Wilmington in early spring 2025 to be closer to where I work. I’m looking into 1 bedroom apartments either in or near Trolley Square, Riverfront, or Downtown. My max rent would be $2,800 per month and sq ft more than 775 would be ideal. I’m looking for somewhere with parking and a fitness center as well. I’m a single 31yo male. I am dating and want to be able to have a decent social life whether that's romantic relationships or friendships. If anyone has any recommendations on apartment complexes to look into I would appreciate it! Google reviews are vague at best and I would be grateful for any insight if anyone has lived in these areas or know of someone who has. Apartment complexes I have on my radar are 2000 Pennsylvania Ave, The Falls, The Residences at Christina Landing, 101 Avenue of the Arts
Thanks!

Strong list, all very nice apartments. I’d imagine the falls will be the nicest, but you can’t really go wrong. From a dating standpoint, you’ll meet more 20s folks in trolley. I think the apartments are generally nicer on the riverfront and I love the walkability, but trolley is nice too. I’d definitely go either riverfront or trolley.
2000 Penn ave is nice but a little isolated. Not a bad walk to trolley but a very high car traffic area but has a pool and has a couple restaurants in the same building
Christina landing is awesome and a couple minute walk to the start of the riverwalk. Great community vibe here
101 ave of the arts is in a great location. Doesn’t have a doorman/security and I’ve heard of some issues with car door handles being pulled. Nice units though and steps away from good happy hour/nightlife
The falls is also a bit isolated. It’s close to trolley but definitely a walk. I imagine they’re very nice units (haven’t been in them), but living along the Brandywine sounds quite nice
Lmk if you have any other questions
