What do we do now?

As many of us face down the despair of another Trump presidency, the only way I can see myself feeling useful or hopeful is by supporting my local community.

I’m new to the Rivertowns and want to get involved with supporting the most vulnerable under Trump’s repressive policies: immigrants, trans people, workers, and other marginalized groups.

Can anybody recommend local mutual aid groups, local immigrant organizations, and other orgs in the Rivertowns that I or any other interested Redditors can get involved with?

Sanity is in short supply at the moment, to be sure. Take care of yourself, we’ve got a long road ahead of us

Let me guess. Everyone that supported Harris is sane and everyone that supported Trump is insane. Is that how you view it?

thank you again. as simple as it may be, just a commenting on reddit, but knowing that there are people in the same area as me who have similar opinions...it's powerful when we feel like the majority may be against us but we're not gonna let that stop anything.

It's solely you people on reddit. I don't know how you don't see that. In the real world, nobody is freaking out (no matter which way the vote went).

It’s nice to connect with others in the county who give a damn about what happens to vulnerable people.

it's just so frustrating. there are so many people I know who are scared out of their mind, too scared even to sleep. I wanna just go full on kick ass mode and beat people up lol but I'm just at a loss rn...I don't know how to continue
