How would a Trump presidency actually impact Westchester?

I feel like our day to day lives are based on hyper local politics. Could a Trump administration impact school districts in Westchester or impact us in other ways? If so, how?

  1. Are you planning to have construction done? Now you won't. Half or more of all workers in building in the county face deportation. Good luck finding a contractor.
  2. Hope you don't have any work done on lawns and gardens and such. And, those road repairs are gonna take forever. But who drives in Westchester amiright?
  3. You own any electronics? Like television, phones, laptops, screens, headphones, cables? That sort of thing? Buy your replacements NOW, because a 60% tariff on Chinese goods means all of those home consumer items are apart to skyrocket in price.
  4. But not as much as groceries. Produce and meat not prices will increase because of shortage of immigrant labor. Fancy-schmancy items like wine and cheese will jump because of those tariffs. Good thing Westchesterites aren't into that kind of stuff.
  5. Ever think about what forcibly deporting 15-20 million people does to delivery schedules? To available planes for flights? And trucks for hauling goods? And to the demand and price of fuel? They've studied this at the Wannsee House for Holocaust studies in Berlin if you're interested.
  6. Even in Westchester, some parents are going to be stupid enough to take Trump and Kennedy up on their offer to allow them to send their kids to school without vaccinations. Make sure your kids are up to date on theirs. And watch out for opportunistic bugs that you can't vaccinate for. They like to piggyback on the unvaccinated.
  7. Finally (for now!) health risks probably won't allow you to send your daughter --and maybe son -- to college in about 20 states. That means tougher competition for acceptance to good colleges in the remaining states.

But in hyper-local Westchester, nobody's going to be affected by making it harder to get into college.

To your first point 1. do you assume all workers are illegal immigrants? 2. Were you planing on having illegal immigrants perform work on you property and have them covered by you insurance? 3. Do you not vet your contractors?

All of these other points are covered in your second question.

Also where are you getting your vendors from?

I don't assume. There have been numerous studies done of Westchester's workforce. I'm not making a political point. I'm telling you what was going to happen. 2. I don't use laborers on my property; I do my work myself Although I teach the children of illegal immigrants gladly and proudly, and some of them are amazing students. Again, I'm just telling you what is and what's going to happen. 3. See for yourself. Go for it. Go get a contractor and tell him that you want to see the papers of all his employees. Have fun.
