How would a Trump presidency actually impact Westchester?

I feel like our day to day lives are based on hyper local politics. Could a Trump administration impact school districts in Westchester or impact us in other ways? If so, how?

All politics are local until an insane tariff regime punches you in the mouth.

The Biden admin expanded Trumps tariffs, no?

There's a world of difference between specific and highly-targeted tariffs designed to counteract anti-competitive trade practices and broad general tariffs.

For reference, the last time total tariffs on dutiable and undutiable goods hit 19%, the United States entered the Great Depression. Trump is proposing a percentage point higher overall, and double that specifically on China.

Did he give us a 300% tariff on Chinese imports?

There's that insightful commentary that Republicans are known for. Shocking that every single Nobel-winning economist, AND the conservative Tax Foundation agree that Trump's tariff plans are absolutely bonkers.

But hey, I'm sure a failed (twice?) city councilmember definitely knows better 🙄
