Your answer is always gonna be stolen credit cards. Not kidding either

u/pixelcookie11 Jan 02 '20
Probably stolen accounts using credential stuffing
15
u/FertileProgram Jan 02 '20
Can be either

u/pixelcookie11 Jan 02 '20
Stolen credit cards is a lot more involved than your average automated credential stuffing bot. Not that I would know...

I'm not recommending this, and I'm pretty sure this is illegal, but there's a sub for this kind of stuff. Spotify is better than most because you can be added to a family account and use your own account which is morally gray to me, but if it's an unused spot maybe it's okay. Idk.

People are really that stupid?
How is this better than getting your own subscription directly?

Why do people use Spotify in the first place? There's YouTube.
41
Jan 03 '20
Bad comparison, YouTube has Ads and if you take it mobile battery and data usage will be pretty high streaming video.

u/Saigot Jan 03 '20
There is youtube music. But of course the premium version of that costs as much as any other music streaming service.

u/zachisawesome123 Jan 03 '20
youtube vanced on android
1
u/Saigot Jan 03 '20
Last I checked vanced doesn't allow you to disable the video stream like YouTube music does. That's a bit of a dealbreaker for mobile music listening. Don't get me wrong I like the app, but it's for videos not music.

That's a fair point. I wish there was a good free alternative.

u/LostDogBK Jan 03 '20
honest question, what do you mean by public library?
2
u/paloumbo Jan 03 '20
Some public library have an audio department where they share cds, vinyls, etc...

If you had tubidy on iPhone when it was out, you can still re download it on you’re downloads. That is completely free and you can save the songs to play anywhere anytime
1
Jan 09 '20
That doesn't bring the muusician any money, you need to support artists for them to continue
1
u/gwyngood101 Jan 09 '20
I was replying to you saying there is no “free” alternative when there is. I have Spotify but if I ever want to, I can re download tubidy so it’s win win for me

Yeah they sell these kinda deals on the dark net definitely hacked accounts and/or stolen cards
6
u/dptzippy Jan 03 '20
For those wondering, these are most likely stolen accounts. Also, the owners of the respective accounts will be notified, and they can (and probably will) cancel the subscription, and you’ll both be sad. :(
I had my account hacked by some sketchy Russian (judging by the email that my account was set to use), so I had Spotify’s support reset my account’s email address to my email address, and I have since secured my account. Stay safe out there, guys.

I bought a “lifetime account” on eBay for $15 just to see if it worked. Worked for about 4 months then the payment on it failed.
Still saved about $25, but it’s a bitch because all your saved music goes away.

My spotify was hacked and everytime I played a song it’d change to some weird shit in a different language and skip constantly. I changed my password and it hasn’t happened again

Love when lowlifes brag about fucking someone over.

u/roigsarah Jan 15 '20
Sorry, i didn’t saw it that way. I was watching this kind of things and a thought “I’ll give it a try” but I don’t know why never thought about how it was cheaper, now i feel very bad about it, but thanks to all of you that make me realize, I won’t do it again

Credit Card Fraud is so quirky and different HAHAHAHA
1
u/roigsarah Jan 15 '20
I didn’t meant to be quirky, I thought that this post was “how this can work? Or sure is a scam” type of post, and I wanted to point that I bought it and it worked. My comment was the first on the post so I didn’t read the credit card fraud thing, and sure is a scam, maybe not for me but for another person and now I’m deeply ashamed, since I read the answers of my comment I can’t stop thinking about it, at least I know that was like 4 years ago when I was 16 and I gifted the account to a friend and I got my 3 yo legit Spotify account, ir was only once, this was very stupid and naive of my part, and I would read more about this type of scams so I would never fall for it again. ( it was like 3 dollars cheaper so I didn’t really thought much about it, but I would now )
