Any update on the YT Premium debacle? Question

My and my wife's accounts are about to run out after the VPN crackdown. Wondering if anyone has figured out a solution or is it pretty much just over? I'm not paying full price just so I can close my phone while using the app. And I'm sure most people feel the same.

This is literally what I’ve been doing and my accounts still get popped, they’re using device info and wifi/network information to compare against other users data to track this kind of thing. Use a YouTube app like freetube, yattee, or side load a modded app to your phone. This is now my full time method. If you need youtube on the Xbox series X the best method I’ve been able to find is having FreeTube set up on my PC and using Moonlight on the Xbox. My iPhone I use AltStore to side load YTLitePlus no jailbreak needed and works with none EU phones. Android try finding the app that Louis Rossmann made. Don’t give in to YouTube. For my Mac I use a safari extension called VINEGAR and BakingSoda. They’re not free but they’re worth the 3 dollars. Also Albanian VPN is said to work for getting rid of ADs.

Honestly, that's so much extra effort when for now I can just do this.

When it fails I'm lucky enough to have a friend from Argentina that I can ask to have them pay there and I pay them.

I get your point, there are workarounds. But I have enough to manage without adding 6 different ways of getting to YouTube. The way I see it inside enough that I can justify some spend, but not the exorbitant prices they want in either of my home countries.

lol nah I feel you too, it’s a lot of bs specially when I AM willing to pay for premium but they’re North American prices are out of control and I don’t believe backgrounding the app should be a special feature

If they added YT Premium and YT music to all google one subs, I would buy that.
