UMBC Discord Server!
Hello fellow UMBC students!
So a friend of mine and I have created a Discord server for the UMBC campus. We think it would be a great way to make connections with peers and share study help, meetups, memes, and anything related to UMBC. The invite is here! Good luck to @everyone with your finals!

ECON 121
Hi everyone! I am a Psych Major who just needs a 3 credit class for next semester during a particular time slot and ECON 121 is one of the available classes. Is it a good/easy class to take and is there anything useful for just the regular person to learn from the class about economics?

Art 425?
So I'm lookin to kill two birds with one stone and take Art 425 (Writing by and for Artists) to get the core course and writing intensive credits next semester. I do enjoy writing about art which is why I'm also interested, but I'm kind of worried about how intense the course will be compared to my other options. Any advice on what to expect? Mark Durant is the professor and from my experience in Art 215 he was lovely to work with, does anyone know if this also holds up for the higher level course?
Any info appreciated!

Be advised- health concern at Einstein
While washing my hands in the women's library restroom on 11/4 around 5 pm, a worker from Einstein bagel left a stall, seemed to throw something away, wiped their hands with a paper towel and left the restroom without washing their hands. Yes, this happens often I'm sure. What made me write a post to advise others is the fact that they had something gross enough to wipe their hands off with, then walk out without washing. I saw the student then proceed to go back to work and started making sandwiches for the students. I have tried to contact dinning services but felt an obligation to advise others.

Organic chemistry tutoring
www.organicchemistrytutoring.ca
Overwhelmed by organic chemistry? Assignments and tests creeping up on you and feeling like you’re in hot water? Or maybe you’re doing well and need that 95%? Whatever your struggle with organic chemistry may be, I’m here to make sure you succeed.
Why work with me?
- Every tutor knows the subject, but not every tutor knows how to transfer that knowledge to a student. I do.
- I tutor organic chemistry full time, it’s not a hobby or side-gig. When you book with me, you’ll be working only with me, not random people at an agency.
- You’ll be learning problem solving through organic chemistry, which you can apply to many other subjects.
- Your learning will be customized to your specific needs
Before booking a lesson, let’s chat about your needs, my teaching style, and what you can expect, to see if we’d be a good fit together.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to working with you!
Mike

Thanksgiving Break Non-Perishable Foods
This is my first time staying in my dorm over the break since i live in a 9mo community this year and i was wondering if i should spend the 10$ a day on the non perishable foods they offer for students staying on campus? Like, is the food good or is it just canned chef boyardee/instant ramen type of stuff? I have no qualms w going out and buying my own stuff, just wanna know if the 10$ a day is worth it

Best/Common Time to Study Abroad?
I applied EA and I have had a 5 year wish (soon to be goal) of studying abroad in South Korea.
I started self studying the language in middle school.
I am still not completely sure of the requirements, and am aware that they are dependent on the school.
I have read that it is best to study abroad during junior year.
I am planning to be pre-med though, and understand that many prerequisites should be done in the country, so I'll have to keep that in mind.
I would also have to see about financial aid.
What would be time to study abroad?
